Crt breakfast question

I am reading HORRIBLE reviews for CRT lunch and dinner on here. To be honest, I don't think I ever read many positive reviews for CRT lunch or dinner even before the menu change.

But we have a breakfast ADR for our upcoming trip. We did CRT breakfast 3 years ago and I cannot remember much about it. It certainly wasn't gross or inedible....I probably would have remembered that. I think I was just so in awe of being inside the castle and watching my kiddos' reactions that the food just didn't register overly much. Kinda just remember thinking "Eh...it's good". (I mean it's breakfast...how inspired can eggs and fruit get?) If anyone has had breakfast there recently, can you share your experience. We are on the DXDP and I kind of hate to waste the 2 credits if it has gone downhill from "Eh...it's good."

I would also like to add that

1) We do have Askerhus (sp?) and 1900 PF ADRs for later in the week so the kids will get to see some of these characters at some point.

2) The day of the CRT breakfast is DD5's actual 6th birthday and I was excited for her to start her day at the castle as is she. I just don't want us to have to eat nasty food.

Thoughts and recent experiences would be much appreciated!

The food was fine.. I just dont think it was worth the price. We were on the free dinning plan in August. I would not of paid out of pocket for the 6 of us.

We also did AKershus which we liked. That was out 3rd time there.

Thanks! I also read (somewhere on here or maybe another site) that the characters do not stop at the tables or sign autographs. This was not the case when we were last there. Did they stop and interact/ sign autographs while you were there?

We had breakfast there a couple weeks ago and it was wonderful! The food, service and character interaction were great. Cinderella was in the lobby for the photo package. Belle, Snow White, Aurora and Ariel all came to the table. And I love eating in the castle!

Our breakfast at Akershus this trip was not as good as usual. A/C wasn't working and the princesses went by at warp speed. The food was good however.

Cinderella signs autographs in the lobby when you meet her for your photo package picture, and the other princesses up in the dining room stop by every table to do pictures and autographs.

As for the breakfast food itself, there are three adult options: (1) the eggs/sausage/breakfast potato/etc plate, (2) a [healthy option] fruit parfait, and (3) the cream cheese stuffed french toast [my favorite!!]. Kids get a smaller portion of the first option, and there are pastries and fruit dishes provided to each table as well.

Not sure about the breakfast, but the dinner there is AMAZING! Plus, if you have never eaten there and you are bringing the little ones, regardless of how good or bad the food is, its the experience of being in the Castle that they will remember.
