Finally I have a question that I would like the highly knowledgeable DISers to give guidance on. We will be traveling to WDW Nov. 19-28. Me(38) DH(38) DD(9) & DS(2). This will be our 5th family trip since 1999 (DS's 1st) and we have never eaten in the castle. For those that have been, do you recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner and why? Although Nov hours are not out yet, I will be on the phone at 6am making my ADRs. Thanks!

I can't compare/contrast with Breakfast or Dinner..but we've done Lunch a couple of times.

I thought the food selection was good. We saw Cinderella downstairs for the photo and Snow white, Belle, Jasmine, Fairy Godmother and Princess Aurora. Character interaction was very good.

We chose lunch because we set up BBB in the MK right before. It worked out well.

We haven't done lunch. Breakfast is probably best for entertainment for little girls, they get to have their photo with Cinderella and then meet four princesses (Snow White, Jasmine, Wendy and Belle in Blue when we were there in November). The food is fine, not the best breakfast at WDW but ok. A fruit bowl to share with strawberries, kiwi, mango etc. A pastry bowl and a cooked breakfast. There is a lovely wishing ceremony which is cute.

Dinner was also good, thought the food was better than breakfast, still get to meet Cinderella and have the photo first, then there is a little dance sequence (hourly) with the Fairy Godmother and the mice. Nice for celebrations but they don't do the stand for photos and autograph thing that the princesses do at breakfast.

I would say breakfast with girls, dinner with adults. We will be back for breakfast in February if we can get in but would also give dinner another trip if we were going for longer.

We've done lunch and dinner, and I have to say - It depends on what you're going for. If the character interaction is your thing, the dinner would be out. Fairy Godmother and the mice dance around and then leave. We didn't even get pictures with them. That said, the dinner menu was really good.

Lunch was a lot more fun for us because the girls got to see Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Fairy Godmother, and somebody else who I can't remember right now - in addition to Cinderella in the lobby. The food was good, and much less expensive. The character interaction was 110% better than at dinner.

I'd go back for the prime rib and crab soup, but my children would rather see characters in the castle.

As others have stated, if one of your goals is to meet the princesses you need to reserve breakfast or lunch.

We have had breakfast there twice and loved it both times. Food was good, character interaction was very good, wishing ceremony is sweet and the setting is amazing.

Enjoy!

We've done all 3 meals at the castle and prefer lunch by far. At dinner, you don't get the whole character experience. Breakfast is ok, but we like the food much better at lunch.

Thanks! I think we are going to try lunch or dinner. We mainly want to go there for the experience of eating in the castle. DD9 is "over" the princesses and DS will only be 2.
