So I went back 6 pages (that's enough for me). I would like some honest opinions.

We have free dining in September. We have been to many restaurants, but DS14 wants his sister DD17 to experience the castle because she will be away for college starting in August. (She will be spending 1/2 of the vacation with us). I think DS is being really sweet about this.

My problem is: menu's vary and I am not sure which meal we should go to. We are very flexible but eat normal foods. Pork is good, steak is good, the only thing that is out is Seafood.

If you were us (age, etc...) what would you do: Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner? And what would you order? Pictures and reviews both positive and negative are greatly appreciated. Thanks, :upsidedown

^^^ Definitely go to the Castle. We've been for dinner and it was very good. We had the prime rib (see pictures of CRT in my trip report below). If you want specific menu choices, check out the menu at allears.net. I'm pretty certain CRT choices remain constant. If I'm not mistaken CRT dinner offers, prime rib (beef), pork, lamb, and salmon. I believe breakfast and lunch are less pricey, but since you have the free dining this is not a factor in your decision. Hence, I would recommend dinner for your party. Enjoy!

Aaawwww...what a nice boy! I have been to the dinner and it has always been good. Since your dd and ds are older, dinner would probably suit them just fine.

Have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

I think you will enjoy the castle. We have been for both lunch and dinner, and we have all been able to find something. Once DH ordered fish and thought it tasted like Captain Highliner - but since you said seafood is out you won't have to worry about that.

I had Major Domo's pie and thought it was really good.

The castle is supposed to have princesses circulating at dinner too now starting February 7.

My hubby's not very adventurous about food but we've been twice for dinner and loved it both times. Sounds like your son is a very loving brother! Have fun at the world!

Any more reviews? Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thanks.

We went for breakfast and my DD (then 13) loved it!!!!! I ordered her a "slipper dessert" and she was thrilled. She is a breakfast girl through and through, she still talks about her yummy breakfast in the castle. I thought the food was yummy too and the princess interaction was great. DD was wearing her birthday button and wanted autographs as well as pictures so she was able to have a conversation with each princess. Have a great trip :)

We went to CRT back in Jan. 09 and we enjoyed it. I was worried by some of the bad reviews but I'm glad we went; my family enjoyed the meal.

In addition to the Salmon, Prime Rib, Pork Chop, and Lamp Chop mentioned already, they also have a Lemon Lavender Chicken dish and a Cheese Tortellini dish (back in Jan. 09). My DW and DD both ordered the chicken and enjoyed it. I ordered the Prime Rib and enjoyed it as well.

It is costly and somewhat overpriced in my opinion; however, it is an experience you have to do at least once. I don't regret going and would do it again if I had never been there. However, after doing it once, it's not something I will do again. ;)

We have done both breakfast and lunch and really enjoyed both. We didn't consider dinner as we have two girls who wanted princesses and they don't circulate for dinner. Next time we would probably go for breakfast but thats mainly because we prefer not to eat a big meal in the middle of the day.

^^^ Actually as of the 6th of February it will be all princesses for all the meals at CRT. ::yes::

only speak about lunch. Breakfast is not our thing and dinner has not had the princesses before. We have had the salmon, pork tenderloin and the Major Domo with the Major Domo being our favorite.

I would go for breakfast as that is the only meal when all the Princesses are there. We have been for breakfast and dinner.... my DS(17) loves the breakfast there ... how very sweet of your son to want to make that special memory for his sister....

Right now breakfast and lunch have all of the princesses. Starting February 7th all of the meals will have princesses. :goodvibes:cheer2:

We went for dinner in december and it was excellent! There is nothing quite like the magical feeling of eating in the castle. :thumbsup2 We had teens in our group and everyone loved it. The food was delicious and the service was the best of the trip.

Good luck deciding! I'm sure every meal in the castle is special!

I agree, everyone should eat in the castle at least once. I found the character interaction was way too rushed (basically sign the book, pose for a pic and move on), but I'm sure your kids are old enough that isn't an issue!
We were there for lunch. All of the adults in our group had the Major Domo's Favorite Pie and we all agreed it was our favourite entree of the trip. The dessert was yummy too (I can't remember exactly what it was - something decadent and chocolatey).
