What do you know of the Crowne Plaza- I will be staying there for two weeks- sorry not so lucky me- I will be training. Any case - I have only stayed at one Crowne Plaza and it was a little worn.. two weeks is a long time to be in a hotel room ..so any feed back is appreciated.

We were there in May and it would not be my first choice to stay again. We stayed "concierge", but there was no benefit to that from what I could tell except for bottled water (which they would give you one per person at a time). We had a room that was as far from anything as you could possibly get.

The shuttle was fine and not difficult to use. I would just not stay there again if I had a choice. I have also stayed at the Marriott which is right there as well and found that to be a much better hotel. I have also heard good things about the Hilton that is there and shares a shuttle with the Crowne Plaza. We only ate at the hotel once, room service, which was yucky :sad2:

maybe I will be lucky when they go to book my trip.. and it be unavailable...unfortunatly I dont have a choice of where I am staying,

can you tell me how is the room otherwise? beds?

The rooms were fine - basic hotel rooms, nothing fancy at all. You can ask for a fridge - not in all rooms. There is a safe that you have to pay by the day, but it is big enough to hold a laptop.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza and loved it. The beds had a nice comfy pillow top and they give you a cute little bag with a eye mask, lavender spray and a cd to listen to. The staff was really nice. The rooms were clean, we had no complaints!

We didn't take the shuttle though, so couldn't comment on that..

Oh, the sleep bag - we only got one on the second day when I asked what it was (there was a sample of it on the front desk). It was cute......

Oh and we did get chocolates one evening as well.

I second that! We've also stayed here several times & never had any problems. The kids & I used the shuttle 1 day when DH had to work. It was very easy & convenient (and free).

We also enjoyed our stay there. We stayed there about 2 years ago before we had a child and it was perfect for my DH and my commando style approach to the theme parks. We basically would hit the park early morning and stay until close to close at night with no breaks.

Now that we have a 1 year old I would not choose to stay there due to the fact that you need to drive to the parks or take the shuttle.

However, the hotel was nice enough and there are several restaraunts within walking distance including Joe's Crab Shack and Red Robin--both of which actually share the parking lot with the Crowne Plaza.

We stayed there in April. Our stay was free due to a time share deal we have. Anyway, I wouldn't pay to stay because it's too far from DL but it was a very nice hotel. Nice pool, enough parking, near Target, Red Robin, Joe's Crab Shack. I had no complaints except when we checked in our room smelled like smoke and cleaners, and then on our second day they came in to take away our microwave because they "delivered it to the wrong room". So, those were my big issues, the smell went away after leaving the door open for a bit but I almost went and asked for a new room due to that.

My son and I stayed there - only for one night but we loved it!!!
The room was clean and the beds very confy. They offer a relaxing CD for sleep, eye mask, aromatherapy stress spray, light for bathroom and a clip for the curtain so light doens't come in. The free shuttle to Disneyland was great departing every 30 minutes - though I am not sure if you will be able to use it since you are on business. There is also some good places to eat a few steps away. There is Joe's Crab Shack, Red Robin (Yummy - unlimited fries) and then a Coco's and a Target across the street for snacks. I also remember a pool that we didn't use, and a gym too. Can't remember if they charge for internet in the room but there was a computer downstairs that I think was free to use for quick checks.

Overall I enjoyed the hotel. I didn't pick it as I bid on Priceline but I was very happy with the choice they made for us.

Thanks for all your responses- makes me feel better....still hoping for a sell out- ( somehow with priceline bids it probably wont be happening!) I was hoping for the Marriot when they said we were not staying in the same place as before!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they sell out the Crowne Plaza and that you get the Marriott or Hilton instead :thumbsup2
