Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport?

Hi guys,

I'm looking at manchester airport hotels and like the look of this one as it has a pool ( we are on the late virgin flight to orlando and will need to occupy my dd in the morning). Can anyone who's stayed here tell me what it's like? I've tried to get into the radisson but no rooms left for a family of 4. We will be getting the train down, is it easy to get a shuttle bus from the train station?

Any help/advice would be great.

hi we stayed hear in 2005 it was lovely and there is a nice big pool to use.
it is only about 5 mins walk from main terminal and they drive you to the terminal with your luggage if you tell them the night before.

we usally stay here.
The mini bus shuttles are usually waiting outside reception each morning-to take anyone whos waiting. (never had to book or tell them the night before)

think its a great hotel.


only negative is on return day.
The mini bus shuttles seem to take ages to pick you up.

would agree with this - we've stayed there the last two years and didn't have to book a shuttle bus - they were just there at the desk when we got down to the reception. How far your walk is depends on the terminal - we've flown with Virgin both times which means the furthest terminal from the hotel.

Coming back once the bus was there by the time we got out of the terminal building, this year we had to wait a while.

We've booked the deal with parking - meant it cost us about £80 for the hotel including a weeks parking which worked out as a good deal

Thank you all. Just wanted to make sure it was half decent. I don't mind waiting for the bus on the way back. (Anything to delay going home )
