Crowne Plaza Airport

I have searched and searched and have been unable to find any reviews of the Crowne Plaza at the airport. I just won it on Priceline for $55 per night. ( I thought it was the MCO hyatt I was gertting, UUUghhh!!!

In any event any info out there. Is this a good place or do I just forget the money and consider it a loss.

Haven't stayed there myself but my neighbor is a pilot and always stays there when overnighting in Orlando....he said it is better than the Marriott by MCO where they used to put them and we stayed at the Marriott on a Priceline bid and thought it was fine.

$55 sounds pretty high for a 3*MCO (we usually get in there under $40), but I sure would not waste my $$...just go with it.

I may be in the minority, but I find the off sites at MCO just as convienent as the Hyatt,,, pickup is right by baggage claim, we have always had immediate pick up and excellent return service (the fact that a lot of flight crews stay there is a pretty good indication that the shuttle service is reliable). If you stay in the airport I always seem to be at the opposite end of the terminal for baggage claim and have to schlep the luggage 3 miles up to the check in...not really that much better than waiting a couple of minutes for a shuttle and letting them handle all the luggage.

Thanks for the information, I was more concerned on the safety factor, of this property I am a bit neurotic!

All of those nicer airport hotels are right off the same highway there (name of road escapes me at the moment)...nice area, well lit, I felt very safe even with odd arrival and departure hours. All have indoor corridors and 24/7 front desk and security .
