the only way to get a bird hat out of the game is to buy vmk pin sets, at 14 for two pins, you get two vmk cards with them, for pirate quest items. All the items are nice, and you get a chance at firewall and bird hat

so I can buy the pins tomorrow while I'm in the park but that does not mean i will get a bird hat. Is that right? also how do i know if my stuff is rare?

DLR is not supposed to have the pins on sale until 12/22/06. WDW sold out in the first few days and I am not sure if they have them back in stock or not.

Something really rare is the Stitch hat. If you book by Disney to get to Disneyland, you get 3 cards.
