Anyone done or researched this? Aprox. how much extra per person does this come out to be (I know it's based on what dishes you choose - just looking for a ballpark) I'm trying to put together a budget to see if it's possible.

Crown Service is where your guests get to choose which entree they want on the spot at the reception, instead of sending in a preference ahead of time. So if you have 3 choices, the kitchen has to make one of each for every guest.

I would venture to say, then, that the cost of Crown Service per person is the cost of each of the choices you want to offer multiplied by the number of guests.

Many people choose a duo plate instead. With this option, guests are served two smaller portions of two different entrees on the same plate. It costs more than one entree but not as much as two.

So then does Disney also give you the option to let people pick an entree ahead of time, like on the rsvp cards? Is there a separate name for that, that is cheaper than the Crown service and the duo plate option? I haven't seen this option anywhere in the information packet they sent me.

In the meantime, you've sent your guests a choice - maybe in the invitation or in an email - and tallied up all their responses so you know how many to order.

If you need to adjust the selections again, you have until 3 business days before the wedding - they just need an estimate 30 days out so they have something to work with when they send you your bill.

Crown Service is offered at WDW, but based on some comments from recent brides, they seem to be trying to phase it out, or at least discourage it....

That is so helpful and good to know, thank you!!!! In some ways Disney is easier than average weddings, but in some ways, they overcomplicate things. Or maybe it's me that overcomplicates it Thanks again!!!
