Anyone stayed here before? If so, can you tell me what you thought about it?

www.crownreef.com

We are thinking of staying there for a week this summer. I was all set to book, but then I saw some of the reviews on tripadvisor.com and they weren't that great.

Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated! :thanks:

We stayed there in 1997 so I might not be all that helpful but it was ok then. Very expensive though when we stayed.

I'll throw something else in the mix... We stayed at the Beach Cove Resort when in MB. Loved it there! We also considered the Crown Reef, but decided to go with Beach Cove instead. No regrets. The Beach Cove is a the opposite end though, it is at the beginning of North MB. But we loved the area.

I just checked out their website...looks pretty nice! How was it driving to places like Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, etc? Was it very far?

Were the pools, etc kid friendly? I couldn't find a lot of info on the website.

TIA for any input!

It is very nice!! I did a lot of research before we went. Just about every review, comment, etc. was favorable of the Beach Cove. I don't think you would regret your choice.

The pools were great, I think there are 3 or 4. There are also a couple of hot tubs, a lazy river, a pool bar, an ice cream/soda shop and an onsite restaurant.

It is very close to Barefoot Landing... actually if you walk directly out from the back of the Beach Cove you would end up at Barefoot Landing. (However it would be a bit of a walk and you would have to cross a large highway.) You would have to drive to Broadway at the Beach, and into MB proper, the older part where the boardwalk is (which is a little seedy). But you would have to drive to these places from Crown Reef also.

It's been a few years since we went, I know they did a renovation of the Beach Cove since our stay. My boys were about 10 and 12 when we went loved it there also.

Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.
