Crown Currency - Happy customer

Just an update on my latest order for currency for those that were interested in reviews a month or two ago.

It's the 4th or 5th time I've used them (can't quite remember now) and Saturday all my currency turned up, ~$6,000 at $1.77 to the pound. That was a day early as others have reported recently.

Usual caveat about risks blah blah. Me very happy as iPad just got a lot cheaper at 1.77 rather than 1.45

Same for me I ordered back in March when one of their cancellation deals was 1.74 dollars to the pound. My dollars arrived last Tuesday (well, that's when I picked them up, they had arrived the Sat before) this was my first time using them - I'd been recommended by work colleagues.

As an aside, they emailed me this week about $1.57 cancelled contracts for anyone that is interested. I'm holding out for higher for next trip but might suit someone.

We have used this company now for 4 years and have always had fantastic service

You get a mixed review from people on the boards as some say the risk is to high to pay in advance for your currency etc etc.. but for me, I would never use anyone else.

I used them last year and booked last month when one of their deals was on for our trip in October this year. I was really impressed last year so hoping for the same this year! Got 1.75 to the £ so feeling happy with that at the minute!

Forgot to post, but another happy customer here too....I got 1.76 $ to £, delivered mid-April. I know people say it's risky, but that's life. I'm happy.

Mine also came early last Saturday. Managed to get $176.99 so very happy Just wish I had $6000 dollars spends and not $2500 but hey ho thats the budget

Don't get me wrong, I save all year to buy work suits and shirts over there and it's the Mother In Law's money too.

I got my $ when they were $2 £ about 18months ago, knew I was going so thought what the heck.

After reading this last week I signed up for Crown Currency's emails . . . I just ordered half of my currency for October (to be delivered in June) at 1.54, which I'm happy with. I really can't see the exchange rate being much above that by the time we go in October!

I have never used Crown Currency before, how do you pay for the currency, is it easy to do? I am watching the rate daily but will have to order soon for late August delivery.

very simple, you either order on line or over the phone and get the contracted exchange rate at the time you place your order. You have to pay for all your currenty in full up front (within two days I think).

We have successfully used CCE on several occasions but there is a risk with this. First you give them your money up front and then wait for the currency to be delivered at the agreed future date. If they go bust or run away in the night you lose your money. The other risk is that you are tied into an agreed rate, therefore if the rate improves in the markets you may find that you end up with a rate which isn't as competeive as it was when you ordered.

Having said that we did very well at $1.76 when ordering in March and now we have the $$$

Another happy customer here - got my currency today. Only at 1.54, but its still better than the rate today, so am pleased!

After hearing a few negatives about CC I am glad to hear people are having good service.I have never used them and have invested 1500 in them which will be delivered 3rd sept. Got 1.58 so happy with that.Still keeping an eye as have another £800 to change.Was 1.49 yesterday. as soon as I am happy with what I see will buy the rest. Lets hope for a good rise.
