Crown Collection by Disney?

I'm sorry but I am laughing at them listing deluxe resorts there.
I guess but they are still the highest end of the options.
That's all the listings here are.
Highest end restaurants, resorts, tours, etc
Some are just higher end than others

I don’t consider Disney’s deluxe resorts to be high end even though they price them that way.
That's not what I'm saying.
I meant when you take the Disney resorts into consideration, and just the Disney resorts as a free-standing group all on their own, they are the highest end of those resorts.
You can't remove that, even if you don't want to consider them high end.
For the record, I agree with you. They are not high end in the real world

Welll yes I understand that part. I just think they’re fooling people is all.

I wouldn't say they're fooling people though. They're still just showcasing them as the best Disney has to offer. They aren't comparing them to other resorts in other places. Within their Disney bubble, they are the highest end that's offered. I really don't think it's about them fooling people.

I wouldn't assume most folks don't understand (or can't research) the pluses and minuses of various high end hotel brands.
Disney offers their brand specific benefits, the most unique one being location. If that works for someone, great. If it doesn't. there are plenty of off-site options.

Guys, it's ok for me to criticize what they are doing. I think this entire "Crown Collection" is silly. If you disagree, I respect that.

I respect that you think it's silly. And I would agree that I wouldn't consider many of these things high-end. But I don't think it's accurate to say Disney is fooling people. They're not tricking you into buying stuff under the guise that it's some super fancy offering, and that you then are part of an elite crowd or something. They're just saying that amongst what Disney has to offer, those are what they consider the best.

They need to do better with their deluxe resorts. Period. I know you want to keep arguing with me and that's fine. I believe what I believe.

Yes, you can criticize it.
Yes, it's a silly collection.
But they are not fooling anyone. They aren't trying to offer one thing and provide something else. They are clear in what they offer and provide exactly what it says it is
They are actually doing the opposite if you really study and think about it.
They are spelling it out there in black and white exactly what the best of the best they offer is. In full detail.
It's now all in one place, making it even more apparent just how silly and overinflated it is. So those that think it's silly will have it all summed up in it's full, silly detail. And those that are interested will have a single go-to spot for it.
Those who do buy it aren't silly for buying it either. Or wasteful just because they find value in the overinflated offerings.

I promise we aren't trying to argue with you. But I think you're kind of missing the point. The Crown Collection, as silly as it is, is merely a listing of Disney's best offerings. They aren't trying to categorize a counter service restaurant as high end, or an All-Star hotel as fancy. It's merely a listing of what Disney considers their fanciest offerings. That's literally all it is.

Many of us can agree that the deluxe resorts sometimes don't seem worth the price you pay, but Disney isn't trying to trick you into thinking their resorts, or any of their offerings, are fancier than what they actually are.

But seriously, we're not trying to argue with you :)

No one is trying to win. Really. As PP says, you are not seeing the point. Because I think we are agreeing with you, to a point. Short of Disney pulling the wool over anyone's eyes. They aren't doing that. They aren't pulling a fast one. They are doing exactly what they are saying they are doing. Folks go into their resorts with their eyes wide open. If they don't, it's not Disney's fault. THAT, is really the only point of contention I guess. On all the rest, you are spot on. And we are all on the same page here. I find the entire collection jaw-droppingly extravagant. Right up there with VIP tours. But man do folks love those. I find more and more of them in the parks every trip I take.
