Crowds

We just decided to go back for our 2nd trip to the world the first week of Aug. I was wondering how the crowds are during Aug. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Early August is still pretty crowded. Not as bad as July though. If you can wait till after the 15th of August it will be much less crowded (as long as you don't spill into Labor Day weekend!).

Later in August is better, still HOT and HUMID, but less crowds. Lots of schools in Florida and thru the South start school in mid-August. Keep in mind that it's also hurricane season.

Dh and I made a trip to WDW the end of July/beginning of August this past summer. There were far, far fewer people present than during our trip the last week of May!! While on the KTTK tour, our guide kept commenting on how few guests were present on a Saturday. When we entered Frontierland in the afternoon, the walkways did not appear crowded at all!! (This is truly remarkable for just about any time other than the absolute coldest days of winter!!) Dh and I wondered if the heat wave across the country had kept some folks from traveling to WDW. We almost cancelled our trip due to the heat but were pleasantly surprised to be leaving 100+ degree temperatures at home and finding upper-80's in Orlando!! Afternoon rain showers really cooled things off for the evenings, too. Of course, the odds of this happening for us again are pretty darned slim!!
