Crowds week prior to X-mas

Hello,

We are visiting SSR the week before x-mas and we have never been this time of year before. Any idea on how the crowds might be? Last year we went right after x-mas and we always used EE, which was very helpful.

The weather was great last year, hopefully we will be as lucky this year!

We were there last year from Dec 19th-26th. The crowds built steadily as the week progressed, but we had no problem doing what we wanted to do. Since we were a party of 8, I made PS's for us every night, one we did not attend. The parks were open much later than we were used to so we took advantage of that.
I think its crowded, but much better than the following week between Christmas and New Years!

A friend of mine from school went with her family last year at the same time. They LOVED it. It was very quiet and they enjoyed all the decorations and really loved the Christmas party. They drove back home to Indiana by the 24th for Xmas at home.

Lana told me that many times they would be walking around the MK and they would be on a little path "and no one else would be on the path except their family." As we travel during summer and spring breaks, I can't even IMAGINE the joy of having a path to myself in the MK! Hope you have a wonderful time.

We plan on going this time next year, heading down after the kids finish school and staying probably until the 26th. On Christmas Day we will not do parks, but visit DHs family in the area. My plan is to do and see all of the special Christmas shows, parades, decorations, and the like. We will not try to ride all of the rides, we go once or twice a year so that will not be the top priority on this trip. I am not too worried about the lines, if we see a few "must sees" that will be fine with us. Have a great trip. I am really looking forward to reading all of the trip reports after this December, I am really gettin psyched for December 05 at VWL!!! Lacee

I don't know that it will be acurate to compare last year to this one. This year there is a full week before Christmas that many school districts seem to be out for.

I would guess that this year the week before Christmas will be much more crowded than last year.
