Any opinions on the crowds for the week we will be there? We went a similiar time before and from what we heard they were lower than the actual week of the 4th so that is why we chose this week...

I know it will be crowded and hot but hopefully not unbearable....

Hey the way I look at it...it will be hot and humid up here in NJ and I know I would much rather be in Disney than NJ....sometimes you forget the heat when you are in the "MAGIC"

I'll be there too - anyone care to hazard an educated guess - perhaps those who have been this week in previous years?

It's been a few years, but that is the week we went for our honeymoon. The crowds actually weren't as bad as other trips we've done in the summer. We were careful to avoid parks with early entry days and used several guides to determine the best days to hit each park. The Magic Kingdom was always very crowded in the daytime, so we parkhopped after dinner and hit it a couple of nights in a row. That seemed to help a lot with the crowds.

We did have torrential rains nearly every day, with a one day bringing heavy rain / thunderstorms from mid-morning until closing time. Since we live in S.E. Texas, the heat wasn't too bad, about what we are used to here.

We went this same week last year and found the parks to be quite manageable, but we always left parks after 12ish and returned after 4. I'm wondering what the effect of the 7 for 4 promotion will have on crowds though.

We will also be in WDW during this week and I am biting my nails waiting for the first batch of Fairytale Package folks to come back and say if it was worse than normal. Of course it really doesn't matter because I will be there whether it is crowded or extremely crowded!:smooth:

We'll be there then too. We should all wear our lime green ribbons!!

The way I see it - even a crowded, rainy day at WDW is better than any day at work ;)

Have to get my lime green ribbon!

We will be leaving the 14th. We went during the same period in 2001 and it really wasn't bad at all. It did rain a ton, but that doesn't stop my family! I'm really curious to see what the FTP will do to the crowds. We'll see soon enough!:bounce:

We'll be there from the 11th until the 19th.

So will my neighbors, my parents, my sister & her family, and our best friends ( & their family, parents, and in laws)

Judging how many people we know who are also making the Fairy Tale trip the same week ---I'd say it's probably going to be pretty crowded:D

I have no problem with you all being there the same week that we are going - AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DRINK ALL MY BEER IN THE WORLD SHOWCASE!!!!!!!:p See you all at WDW!

Woohoo..lots of us going around the same time! I'll be there the 19th..probably just hanging around our hotel (ASMu) and Downtown Disney. I'll be there thru the 21st..then we're moving over to CSR for another 2 days.
If ya see me pulling out the tissue everytime my kids have a magical moment...just smile...I'm sure I'll be doing it my whole trip!!!!
I'll tie my lime green ribbon to our stroller!! I have a 2 yr old and 7 yr old..both girls, and we could care less how hot it is. It's Disney..they have water rides...air conditioned areas... and I'm from Atlanta :)
