Crowds week of & during Wine & Dine Marathon?

Hi! Trying to figure a low crowd week for the fall and want to be able to hit Epcot's F&W Festival. We like to arrive in Disney on a Tues or Wed for a 6 or 7 night stay. So I originally thought going before Veterans day weekend but since the holiday falls on Friday and F&W ends on Monday it seems like that could heavily impact crowds.

Now thinking of heading down on Tues 11/1. Thursday begins the Wine and Dine Marathon weekend. Wondering how does this event impact crowds? Hoping for FD as well but I don't think they usually offer that during the marathon.

I've only been at Disney the week before Thanksgiving when it was low crowd and it was great. This time the goal is to enjoy F&W Fest.

I know it's a long ways away but there is a nice airfare staring at me right now.

This will NOT be a low crowd weekend. Especially at Epcot. and the next week is Jersey Week. Wouldn't count on free dining although it may be an outside possiblilty for the 1st.

And this year they have moved the half marathon to morning instead of nighttime, and are adding more races.

I ran the W&D last year. It was very crowded. Not sure I'd attempt going during that time again.

Thanks for your help! This is the biggest stress for me planning a Disney vacation, when to go. I can handle the long waits on the phone for FD (if available), reserving ADR's, making fastpasses. The two things I can't handle is picking a week and getting a good airfare (we are not frequent flyers). We all have the things we obsess over, that's mine.

Its nice to hear experiences from others to help make a decision. It's so helpful!!!
