We always go to WDW in July because that is when we can. This year for the first time we are going the last week in April. Please tell me that:
1. I am going to love the weather, and
2. since Easter break and most spring breaks are over, WDW should not be so crowded!
YES!?
(I'm a little worried - Disney seems more popular than ever.)

As far as the weather goes, well, I hope you don't mind the heat as we have been having some record heat in Florida the past week or so and it's been very dry. The humidity is down compared to summer but we have had little rain. I know the Orlando area has been under fire watches so a little rain would be good really (to keep it from getting smokey). The forecast shows the temps going down a bit (mid 80s instead of upper 80s/low 90s), so let's hope for that. :thumbsup2 Sometimes this time of year brings heatwaves to FL.

The crowds should thin out by next week as the spring break/easter break time comes to and end. This week (right now) is pretty much the last week for spring breaks since Easter was just this past Sunday.

Yes, WDW is popular but it still has it's more manageable times of the year and next week should be one of them. It DEFINITELY won't be crowded like it is in July. But, keep in mind MK will close early Fri & Sat nights for Grad Night parties. (it will close at 7) We were there last year this week (although Easter was earlier also), and it was very nice crowdwise even with the press events that closed every park early each afternoon. (it was the Happiest Celebration kick-off)

Either way I think it'll be more enjoyable than your July visits. We'll be there next week as well and looking forward to it. Our last visit in December a week before Christmas was too crowded for my liking, I don't expect it'll be anything like that this trip. ;)

WE always went the last week of April thru the first week of May until our son started private school. ( he now has 3 1/2 weeks off in March). It is hot,
85 - 90 degrees but not humid at all. We do water parks during the day and parks later in the day. The waits are 10- 15 minutes tops, sometimes no waits late at night. It is by far our favorite time to go, especially with Flower Power at Epcot. DW and I are going April 30 - May 3 just the two of us, (thank God for Grandparents). Go and enjoy!!!!

We are so excited. It sounds like it will be a good week to go. I am glad it will probably be hot. I know it can't be as sticky as July 4th week.
(I was a little concerned about grad nights but I'm sure it will be fine.)
It will be nice to be there on a non-holiday week. Last year was so crowded.

Again, thanks for the input.

We went last this year at that time and loved it so much we are going again next week! Crowds were not bad except at MK on the days there wasn't an early closing for grad nights. If there is Wishes and Spectro, expect MK to be packed all day. We learned last year to go to MK on a grad night/day, not many people there since the park was closing early. Then we would hop over to Epcot or MGM for nighttime entertainment. That way on the night they did have Spectro and Wishes at MK we were only there for those two things so the crowds didn't bother us as much as we spent the earlier part of the day someplace else.

Thanks.
I wasn't sure about whether to go to the MK on the mornings of grad night. I didn't know if the grads came early and filled up the park. LOL, I have 3 teenage sons myself - I should have known they wouldn't go so early.

BTW, I'm also looking forward to the bands at the Flower and Garden Show.
So, I was thinking, MK in the morning and Epcot in the evening.

I can't wait!
