I've been looking for a thread like this but haven't seen one yet for our time period so decided to just ask. :) We'll be at DLR from 5/4-5/11. I know the California Food & Wine Festival will be ending the weekend we arrive so we're prepared for crowds to be a bit heavier then. However, we're hoping the rest of the trip will be fairly light in comparison since it's not peak season. I'd love to know from others experience, though, if there's something we've missed in our planning.

As for weather, the average is in the mid-70s so we're prepared for nice days but know that mornings and evening could be cool. I'm actually hoping it will be a bit warmer so I can enjoy the pool at our motel - I don't usually go swimming unless it's very hot in our area but my DD would happily go into even an unheated pool once the temps hit the 70s. LOL

Of course, no matter what the crowds and weather are like, we'll be happy because we'll be at Disneyland!!! :woohoo:

We were there this same week last year and the weather was hot and the crowds were mild. We had only a short wait for most rides and used fast pass when we needed it. It wasn't bad at all (we only went from sun-thurs so no idea how a Saturday crowd was).

I am sure you will have a great time and definitely bring your swim suit!

Thanks! We're in Oregon so anything in the 80s is definitely warm and above 90 is hot. LOL Considering we had snow last week (not typical for late March but not totally unexpected), temps in the 70s sounds very good to me right now. :goodvibes We'll be staying at the Tropicana so I'll bring my swimsuit for the hot tub even if the pool isn't tempting.

We went that time last year and it was H.O.T.! I think it was unusual though. We're talking in the 90's. It made the evenings warm and balmy though which was neat and I couldn't get enough of the Grizzly rapids!

Crowds were great!

Just wanted to say "Hi" to a fellow Oregonian!

We will be there the same dates you are and are staying at HOJO's. The whole family is looking forward to the warm weather, it has been so cold here lately! Even when it gets to the mid 50's, it feels warm to us, so I bet we will think it is H*O*T in CA :)

We will take some warmer clothes for the evening, maybe sweatshirts & jeans, but I would imagine shorts & tees would work during the day.

Another Oregonian checking in here! We will be overlapping with your trips... be there on May 10-14th... looking for warm weather and low crowds!

:cool1:

The rule of thumb that I have found in SoCal is that the temps vary so wildly that it could be highs in the 60s in mid-May to highs around 90. The only months where one could be reasonably certain what the highs will be in advance are July and August, when it's going to be hot. :)

My advice is to be prepared for anything. ;)

The weather has been crazy here lately, so it's hard to predict, but if I had to guess, I'd say it will be pretty warm! You should be good as far as crowds go, just plan to spend afternoons at the hotel pool!

like others i was there May 8-9 of last year. It was very hot at 98 degrees. However , the crowds were non existant.. nothing had a wait time. expect soarin with a 90 min wait for some strange reason. We did single rider and they sat us together at the end lol
