Hi, just remembered this site as it was a fantastic help on our last trip to WDW back in 2010. So I thought I would ask a quick question. Has anyone visited over Easter before? Our last trip was at Christmas and it was manic and we were hoping for a more chilled out trip this year. Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers

The weather should be almost perfect, hot and sunny with little or no humidity. The crowds on the other hand will be only slightly less than Xmas crowds.

We've been lots of times at Easter and the weather is lovely, hot but not humid. The crowds are always very heavy compared to when we visit in August.

Hello there, sorry to hijack this thread, but quite surprised to hear the crowds at August are less - Why would that be? I am a total newbie at wdw planning, am planning for a August trip (probably 2018 or even 2019!) But easter will be nice too weather wise from the sounds of it.

We have been going in August since 2008 and it's definitely quieter than Easter. I believe a lot of the American schools start back from mid August so that would affect crowds. The humidity can be high and the downpours are dramatic but never stops us enjoying our time there

Hello there, sorry to hijack this thread, but quite surprised to hear the crowds at August are less - Why would that be?

This is because some school in America break up in May and are back to School around Mid to late August time so the last couple of weeks in August can be quieter than July or the beginning of the month.

Where as with Easter and Christmas are the same holiday times in both countries.

Although I went in November on my last trip and some days it was really busy which surprised me.

We've been at Easter and love it! We're going back again this year. The weather is perfect although it can get very hot during the day. It is busy but we didn't find the parks as crowded as Christmas. We found the week before Easter to be a little quieter than the week following.

you can't really say "schools in america" end in may and start in august...
every state and even every county is different...
for example, the schools in michigan tend to start only after labor day (which is the first monday in september)..

however, the schools in florida and many other southern states, do seem to start in mid-august (and even before that)..

for that reason, the wdw crowds wind down through the month of august....the beginning of august being more crowded than the middle to end of august...

Thanks guys for your help..don't mind the lines for rides if the weather is nice! Can't wait
