Crowds this Weekend?

I'm a DL vet. I grew up about an hour and a half away and held an annual pass for several years. Because of this, I am not well versed in holiday weekend crowds. I was more of a "show up on friday night, watch the fireworks and people" kind of visiter. I'll be in town visiting my folks and want to visit on Monday. How bad will the crowds be? Scale of 1-10? Are there any free crowd calendars? I've paid for Touringplans.com but only for WDW. Thanks folks.

Touring Plans has it as a 6 for the day DLR 4.8 and DCA 5.8.
I would imagine it would be busy with the marathon and everything else. Plus AP's are not blocked that day. If you get there at RD, you could get a lot accomplished in the first couple hours.

Thanks for the tip. I'm a pretty casual tourist at DL, I just hate tons of people crowding me. 6 doesn't sound too bad.

Yes, 6 wouldn't be bad, but TP is notorious for not being as accurate with DL as it is WDW due to the local population.

I was there last Labor Day weekend and Monday was easily the busiest day of the holiday weekend. I suspect due to the APs being unblocked plus the regular holiday crowds plus the race people. I would rate last Labor Day Monday as 8. NYE is a 10.

I would think Carsland will still be the big draw and DL might see slightly decreased crowds in comparison to DCA.

Same advice applies, be there early and use FP. You can accomplish a lot during the first few hours after park opening. Have fun!

well...what can i say....as of 7pm 5 fwy was really backed up....22 fwy was decent...30 min. to park at Mickey and Friends parking lot....so what does that tell you???? I think its going to be PACKED....
