I have heard last week was very busy, any info on crowds this week? We leave friday.

I went yesterday. Normally it's not bad this time of year, but with the halloween decs up it attracted a lot of people and was pretty crowded at DL. CA was empty as usual!

I was there yesterday. DL was crowded for this time of year, but still manageable. DCA was empty. We managed to go on all the good rides at both parks in 8 hours.

This past weekend was pretty busy. I was there Fri and Sat and it definitly felt like it was the middle of summer.

I have my fingers crossed that with the Utah people home this week it will be slower, :rotfl: :cheer2:

It was Utah's Educational A-something (UEA) weekend and school kids had thursday and friday off and there's thousands of Utahns that go there on that weekend (I knew 5 families who went alone). Being from Utah we made sure to not go at that time because we've heard it's one of the busiest off peak weekends of the year. I'm sure the closer to halloween it gets the busier it will be. I personally like some crowds, I went there a year and half ago in January (When california had all the really bad rain storms, except it only rained for an hour total the whole week) and managed to walk from New Orleans square to the hub and only saw 3 people along the way at about 2pm.. It actually wasn't much fun when it was like that. When you can't see and hear other people having fun it's just not as exciting.

I agree! No crowds allowed during my bday trip! :rotfl:

Just got back... Fri and Sat and Sunday DL was packed. Ride wait times aprox 30-40 minutes with an hour at Splash Mountain. Monday DL's crowd was much more reasonable but still busier than what I had expected. Very overcast all weekend. The Fireworks were cancelled on Saturday due to weather problems. I was in DCA on Sunday and it was very relaxing, I didn't have to fight a crowd all day.

Anyone have an update on crowds this week? We usually go to DL in early Dec to avoid the crush, but I was thinking about Oct. for next year. I read a post from Albort about how much fun the Halloween thing is, sounds like something we might like to plan for..but not if the crowds are really bad!

well, the trick n treat wasnt that busy but still quite a few ppl. Ill be at DIsneyland today to check out the crowd.

In Gilbert, AZ it was fall break last week. We saw alot of fellow AZ tourists there last week when we were in the park. Also alot of CA locals there for the first year of Halloween. My sister-in-law is there about every other week and she said last monday (10-16) was the busiest she's seen it since this summer. It was busier as the week went on.

This coming Friday, Nevada schools are closed for Nevada Day. I know of a bunch of people---including us!!!---who are heading to DL!

It never fails, every year during this weekend DH sees students at DL/DCA! It was really weird the year he saw students at WDW! Now that's a needle in a haystack from Vegas.

Hey Steve,

I see your from Ceres...I live in Merced...stop by and pick me up next time you go to DL :rotfl:

Nice to meet a fellow Central Valley person. Problem with stopping in Merced is-- when I'm leaving to go to Disneyland I'm moving too fast to slow down and when I'm coming home I'm half asleep.

just tell me when your coming through and throw the door open...I will jump in :lmao:

So how are the crowds? We are going next week.. Monday Oct 30 and Tuesday Oct 31. Also the weather? I've been looking at the forecast and looks nice... mid 70s in the day, sunny. Mid 50s at night. I can handle that. So we will take along jackets and wear t-shirts underneath with shorts, capris or zipoffs depending I think. Can't wait. Deb

This week was pretty crowded on Sunday... the longest line i saw was like 60 min... pirates was like a 30 min wait...

isnt TOO crowded but still crowded.

I have a Premium AP and I went to the parks yesterday and it was really crowded for a Sunday. I arrived at the park almost an hour before it opened. They let us in early (about 15 or 20 min. early) but once you reached the end of Main St., it was blocked off until 9am (time they open). I spoke to a CM and they said that they openend the shops on Main St. to give guests some time to shop around (kill some time) before the park opened. One of the CM's told me that it's been very crowded for the past 2 weeks and she's not sure why.

Once they let everyone through I noticed most people ran towards Pirates.

About 11am the crowds grew even more and by the afternoon it was pretty packed. I had a nice time getting clear/empty shots around Disneyland in the morning and shopping around. I went to DCA around noon and it was crowded there too, but not as bad as in DL. Not sure why it's been crowded but I guess it's because most families play during the day and head over to DCA for the trick or treating event at night (a lot of kids were dressed in costumes).
