:) Hi all -
For anyone at the World this past weekend (lucky ducks), just wondering what the crowds were like. We have never been in May, and am planning a surprise trip for this same time next year. I should have enough time to plan it - right ?
Thanks!!!!!

Good planning always helps. Crowds can vary a lot based on which day you visit each park. We always skip EMH, but try to arrive at opening. If you get there early and use Fastpass, waits should be minimal.

This weekend was outstanding weather and crowd-wise! The particular weekend you choose could make a big difference however.

just returned today and the weather was outstanding and most rides were 5 minute waits, although soarin fastpasses were gone on sunday by the time we arrived, it was a 65 minute wait, weather hit 90 a couple of days but no rain.

Perhaps the parks were empty because they were all at DTD???
Some stores were jammed pack full of ppl - I couldn't even maneuver the stroller around and DH and I ended up getting seperated with crowds in between us. It was NUTS! :sad2:

Sounds just perfect! We leave in 2 days, that's my kind of weather and my kind of wait time!! Thanks

Yeah, did some shopping on Mother's Day, and it was packed -- but that is how I've always found DTD. :confused3

Just wanted to note that relatively speaking the crowds were great. You'll have to be very early or late to get those 5 minute waits as we approach June. Mastery of the fast-passes is the key to getting a lot done.

We arrived at Animal Kingdom on Sunday around 12 noon...we went solely to ride Expedition Everest. The wait was about 40 minutes, but it went by fast...we also got fast passes for a return time of 3:30 but we ended up giving them to a random passerby...we wanted to go to Magic Kingdom and didn't feel like waiting for the time to come around.

Magic Kingdom crowds were thin. We go pretty often and have seen the parks during all crowd levels. I'd rate the crowds about a 4 on a scale of 10. We walked on to Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Philharmagic, and Snow White...many of the other lines were shorter than I'd EVER seen them...like It's a Small World was only a 15 minute wait...

Crowds should start to pick up soon, as most Florida school kids will be out within the next couple weeks.

It was pretty hot, but the thin crowds made it worth it!!

Next weekend we are off to MGM and that is sure to be packed for Star Wars Weekends!!
