We will be at WDW Dec 16 thru Dec 21 and was wondering what crowds would be like-just curious?

TIA

We will be there the exact same days and I'm wondering the same thing. Let me just tell you I have been at the Magic Kingdom on Thnaksgiving Day and yes it was very crowded but manageable so how does this week in December compare to that week in November?????????????

The week right before Christmas has very manageable crowds - It is the reason DW and I go then every year. Crowds get a little bigger as you get closer to Christmas, but overall they are quite manageable.

We were at WDW last December 18-28...it was our first trip there and we had a group of 14. Thanks to the awesome advice on this board and TGM, we had the best vacation. The crowds weren't too bad until the afternoon of the 24th. On Christmas Day, I knew to avoid MK so we did MGM in the AM and then DTD during the afternoon. We totally avoided all parks on the 26th and on the 27th did Epcot. The longest line we waited in was Turtle Talk and we probably didn't wait more than 15-20 minutes for anything else thanks to the good use of fastpass.

My best advice is to research all you can and come up with little games to keep kids entertained in lines and while waiting for parades and such. I hope you have an awesome vacation!

Thanks for the replies. I hope the weather is manageable as well!! Worried that it might get cold. I'm from Texas and I think that the weather is similar to Florida's. It can be beautiful and perfect one day and tons of rain and some sunshine the next! :confused3

Oh well I'm just happy my children get to see Disney at Christmas!!!

Thanks again everyone.

This will be our fourth trip to go during that week.

Each year, the crowds have been heavier than the previous trip, but we've always enjoyed ourselves, even with more folks.

One year we stayed through Christmas, and it really is amazing how packed the parks can get after Christmas Eve!

You will see it build throughout your stay, but it is a great time to be there.

I'll be there Dec 15-23 so thanks for the heads up on the crowd level.

We just made reservations for the Poly for Dec 16-22, 2007. This will be our second trip after going in September of this year. I'd guess that the crowds will be much heavier this week than we saw in Sept, but I'd appreciate an experienced perspective. I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks.
