Crowds the week after easter?

We love to visit during late Sept/early Oct or early May. But I want to do a 10 maybe even 12 day trip. I take my kids out of school when we go for a week. They only miss 5 days b/c we leave and return on Saturdays. I don't want to have them miss much more than that though. I'm debating on going the Thursday after easter that way they'll only miss 6 days of school. I've been during spring break and I never want to do that again!! but I was looking at a crowd calendar and it shows green starting the 13th of April, so that's only 4 days of spring break crowds. Anyone go the week following easter/spring break? Is it really that low of crowds? The main reason we go in Sept/Oct is the low crowd level and its still hot

By the end of Easter week crowds will diminish from their peak earlier in the week and the prior week, but it will still be significantly busier than it is in the fall or in early May.
