Crowds the last week of August?

Hi there...

This board is so great. Has anyone traveled to WDW the last week of August? What are the crowds typically like?

I am going with my mom and my two DS (3 1/2 and 1 year). I am so excited!!

I heard that the resorts are packed, the restaurants are a zoo, but the parks themselves not that bad. We'll see, I guess!

Thats so odd isnt it? You would think the parks would be packed also if the resorts and restaurants are a zoo......

We were there the last week of August last year and it was crowded but it was manageable. My advice would be to get there before the parks open so you can get on your favorite rides before it gets really crowded. We also used Tour Guide Mike and Touring Plans and we never waited more than a half hour for any ride! With a little planning, it shouldn't be too bad.

We have gone that week two times. The crowds are very managable, we got to the parks at rope drop and left around 1pm for a swim.

We really never waited more than 30 for a ride, used fastpass saw everything we wanted to.
