I had no choice but to book for Aug 1-3. We leave Monday at 6am by the Thalys to the Paris.

We are staying onsite so we get EMH but what else can we do to manage the crowds and heat?

You'll be fine. Friday will probably be quieter so I'd try to do a few of the rides then. Use EMH, particularly to ride Buzz, Peter Pan and Dumbo if they're all open then get to the Studios for opening to do Crush/Ratatouille.

Personally I'd go to the studios at opening (10am) on both days, one day concentrate on Crush and Ratatouille and then the other go to Toy Story Playland as these get large queues. Make sure you see the Mickey and the Magician show too and get there early as it's really popular.

I've found the queues tend to drop later in the day (between the parade and dreams) so that would be a good time to do Pirates, Phantom etc. Because of that I'd take a break during the day too so you're not too knackered later on.

It'll be busy but manageable, have a great time!

Defiantly do single rider in Ratatouille, its much shorter than Fastpass line. There is a single rider on Crush but sometimes they dont use it.

Im not sure if there are refubs in the area but try to take the hidden / covered walkway between Pirates and Last Chance Cafe in Frontierland to Phantom Manor. It continues on to Liberty Arcade in Main Street. You really bypass the main crush of crowds in the Hub / Main Street by using it.

Also on the other side of the street there is a back corridor along Discovery Arcade. This is the quickest way to get through Main Street to Discoveryland.

The covered walkway between Frontierland and Adventureland is under refurbishment unfortunately.

I'd go to Studious much earlier than that. Don't count on schedules much in Disneyland Paris.

We came there at about 09.45, and they were already letting people in - for a while! So when we got to the "Cruch and Coaster" at about 10 minutes to 10, the was already 50 minutes wait!

Luckily the single riders line was only 5 minutes at the point, so we jumped on that. It appeared to be not 5 - but about 15 minutes: it doesn't move that fast as most of peoples are in parties of 2 or 4 in regular line as it seems. But when we came out, even single riders line was 45 minutes already.

I totally agree.

The parks LOOK crowded. But the wait times were generally much less then we are accustomed to have in WDW.

At about 6pm there was 5 minutes (!) wait on the Space Mountain, for example. We just walked straight on the ride. I could not believe my eyes.

The waits on the other rides were also almost non-existent in the afternoon in Disneyland park - in the middle of July. Something unbelievable - in comparison with American parks. Though it was midweek. On weekend it might be not that great I suppose. We didn't even use our fast passes they gave us in the hotel - on one of the days. And we never even needed to get any from the machines in the parks. And we ALWAYS use fastpasses, as we hate to wait in line - ADHD :)))

I do think that the situation in Studios is worse. Ratatouille was the ride where we used our fastpasses on two of the days, and it was very useful there. And there is always big line and no fastpass on the Crush.
