Getting excited - leaving tomorrow for my vacation! I know this time of year is a bit slower than other times. I've always gone in the summer with peak crowds, so not sure what to expect with the crowds this week. Specifically, Harry Potter. I have not seen this yet and it's top on my list. Can anyone tell me what the wait times are for this at this time of year? I was planning to take advantage of the early entry for it, but wondered if it is even necessary. My husband is not a morning person! Thanks.

We're heading out Sat ourselves. The last time we went to IOA, the crowds were VERY manageable. We were staying off-site and didn't have express pass, so no early entry for us either. We went on a weekday and crowds were very low. When we arrived, FJ was only 15 minutes. We went by the HP section later in the day and it was up to 20 minutes. And then again an hour or two before close and it was 5-10 minutes! (The park closed at 6pm that night). The only place we found crowds to be an issue were in the stores. The stores don't hold a lot of people so it doesn't take much. We tried the stores earlier in the day but returned an hour before close and the stores were almost empty then.

I can't promise super short waits, but they will be much, much lower than summer. If it's a weekday, then it will even shorter. So, my advice would be to not worry about early entry if on a weekday. We haven't been on a weekend day since before the HP area opened up, so I don't know how much that increases crowds, but I would expect weekends to be higher than weekdays.
