I am going down on 4/9/06 and was just wondering if you all who has gotten back could give me the 411 on the crowd volume. So keep the posts coming for the next couple of weeks.

Thanks

Jozel

Just back on Sat. from 7 days there. Didn't notice too much of a problem with crowds! Have fun!

We also got back on Sat. we thought the crowds were great. They were a lot better than they were in June and the weather was so much better. I don't think we will ever go again in the summer. March was so much better. Also, we did notice that the crowds did get heavier on Saturday but that just may have been the weekend crowd. We were still able to ride all the major rides we wanted at epcot on Saturday with no problem.

Just got back today.. We've been there since last Tuesday.. I thought it was extremely crowded.. We have been during Spring Break before, Fourth of July and Labor Day and havent seen it this crowded.. If it wasnt for Fast Pass we wouldnt have riden as much.. We did make sure to ride one or two rides while waiting for our fast pass time.. We stayed for EMH last night and rode quite a bit, but froze our behinds off.. It was very cold.. but worth it

Busy! DFiance and I are locals but drove over Thursday to spend the night and we ended up riding three rides total due to the crowds. We just didn't want to wait the 50+ minute waits most had as we can come back anytime. AK we found to be the most crowded with a full line 45 minutes prior to FOTLK. Safari was 70 minute wait. We ended up walking around pin trading. A few rides in MK were empty, like TTA has no wait, Buzz had 30 minute wait, etc. Hope you have a good time no matter the crowds. The weather is beautiful right now.

I was there March 18-25 and thought it was pretty crowded - especially the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. The weather started out at about 90 at the beginning of the week and gradually tapered off to 70 by the end of the week. I followed Tour Guide Mike's park/ride recommendations, and that helped a great deal, but I doubt I'll go during spring break again. I think you will find crowds even larger since you're going the week before Easter.

Same here. Just got back yesterday and we always go this time of year, but for whatever reason I thought the crowds were a real pain, and they seemed much newer to Disney as a whole than usual. Normally during the more temperate months you get the Dsiney veterans coming because they know it's the best time to visit; this time it seemed to be a fast-paced, stick to your schedule, divide and conquer, do everything you possibly can from 9:00 to 11:00 because you didn't get park hopper and so you better hit all the 'big' ones first, etc etc.

Anyway, the weather was nice which made the high crowds more manageable. But I've never seen AK as crowded as it was on this trip, and MK was a nightmare a few times.

Crowded! The weather is beautiful but the Spring Break Crowds are awful! We are locals and my daughter works at MGM Part time. She says now until the week after Easter will be extremely busy as the Spring Breaks occuring at different times throughout the US. In fact, the cast members black out dates where they can bring guests are through the week after Easter!

We wanted to go last night but decided against it as there are so many people (more than in some weeks of the summmer).

If you get there when the parks open and use fast pass, you should be able to ride more than 3 rides in the AM. Take a lunch break at a resort, rest, swim, or whatever and return in the evening.

Either way, you are at WDW and will have a great time. Just don't expect to do it all and see it all.

I think the crowds are lighter now than what they will be in 2 weeks when your trip is. And it sounds crowded already! I suggest having a good touring plan for your week (like TGM or the UG).

well we leave friday, woo-hoo :Pinkbounc princess: and i checked to get friends a room and Dis is basically soold out. no value, moderate,or deluxe. the only thing avaliable was one/two bedroom villas that cost way to much money! This is the first time in 5 years that it has been booked for the 1st week of april. Easter weeks are going to be an absolute mad house. Enjoy massive if not record crowds!!! Just be early, be prepared for it, dont try to do to much, and enjoy yourself. The pool is a great place to be during those hot afternoons!

Well, the more the merrier, I guess.

Since this is a gals trip to escape NE winter, even laying by the pool with Boat Drinks will be just the ticket!

Bring it on! :woohoo:
