Well I am not that crazy to go now. I got my visit in last week. But I have friends going tomorrow. I already warned them. But looking for reports from those braving it today. I read about the closing yesterday.
Their plan is to go to DCA early, then hop over to DL for the 1445 Holiday Tour.
Have a grand time and if you find a moment report back
Thanks

I'll report back starting tomorrow. We probably won't get to the parks until noon due to our flight time. We'll be there until around 3:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve when we catch our shuttle back to the airport. We went during this week 10 years ago when I turned 40 (gulp!). We're going this year so I can turn 40 again at Disneyland.:lmao: I know it will be crazy crowded, but we'll just deal with it. We have a couple of dining reservations that I made months ago. If we need a break, we might go to Downtown Disney to see Into the Woods. We just got $400 in Disney gift cards for Christmas, so we're pretty well set for spending money. Lot of breaks = lots of snacks, right?:)

We're here now. It's definitrky crowded, but seems manageable. We got here right around open, and walked on Space Mountain and picked up a fast pass at the same time. Rode Big Thunder, then fast passed Indy on the way back to Space Mountain. Went back for Indy, fast passed Haunted Mansion, walked in to Splash Mountain, fast passed Star Tours, then rode Hainted Mansion and had lunch. so we basically killed it this morning, but things got very crowded during lunch so we haven't accomplished as much since. Saw the parade, Lincoln, then grabbed a hot chocolate and killing time in Innoventions until our ST fast pass. My advice is to get here early and get all your must dos in first thing. The park didn't really get busy until close to 11, but it is pretty packed now.

Thank you for your replies.
Luv Bunnies. Have a good flight.

Southlakejr. So you have been in DL all day? Did you leave? Any mention of any park closures?

We left for the first time twenty minutes ago for reservations in DCA. Never heard any closure talk.

Today is our 3rd day. Christmas was ridiculously crowded. So crowded you could not even walk at times. Not something I'll do again. Yesterday was better but still very, very crowded. The new fantasmic has made things much worse. Whoever came up with the idea to reduce the walking space in New Orleans by more than a half should be fired. Truly an awful, chaotic mess. Probably the first time I've ever been really angry at Disneyland was night dealing with that fantastic crap. I could not be more disappointed with Disney for creating this mess.

This morning it was very busy at DL so we went to DCA and so far it's been very pleasant.

Crowded, but manageable especially if you get there early.

As expected, DL was a lot more crowded than DCA. You'll be able to do things multiple times if you take advantage of FP times. The only problem you may have would be with ride closures (RSR was down from 1pm to 9pm, but I was still able to do it once before and once after. Matterhorn was down throughout the day but we were able to single-rider it after the fireworks).

I actually like the new Fantasmic seating/FP arrangement. It's still a first-come first-serve type of thing for seating, but they actually have very designated seating areas now. You should get there right when they allow you to start waiting (an hour before the show) if you don't want to stand throughout the show.

When we left Disneyland today (Saturday Dec 27, 2pm local time) the park was at capacity, so we were told to get our hands stamped, even though we are passholders. All people wanting to get into Disneyland were herded into a single, very wide line. I watched the line for 5 minutes, and didn't see anyone admitted into Disneyland. Presumably, as people leave Disneyland, they will allow an equivalent number of people entrance into the park.

I was told that I could probably return for fireworks, but I don't think we'll bother going back today.

Every entrance gate at California Adventure had a long lineup. I assume people who don't want to join the mob awaiting entry to Disneyland are instead going to CA. Since CA didn't have a single entry queue like Disneyland, I assume CA is not at capacity, but I didn't confirm that CA is allowing entry.

There were no lineups at the ticket booths, so presumably they have stopped ticket sales. There was also essentially no line up at the security screening booths. Kind of strange to see, since for the past few days both security and the ticket booths are normally crowded when we walk by.

You didn't miss anything. They canceled the fireworks tonight due to winds.
