We are thinking about heading down to the World over Labor Day Weekend, can anyone tell me what the crowds are typically like? We generally go in early June so I'm not quite sure what to expect.

I appreciate any input you may have.

I've never toured WDW over Labor Day, so I'm going to bump this back to page one for you, so that some of our veterans can offer advice.

I have been early September before, but never over the Labor DAy Weekend. Others here have told me expect a larger crowd on saturday and sunday and on monday the crowds thin down as people head back home. A lot of locals go to WDW over the long weekend head home. Tuesday expect the parks to be very empty..I have been the day after Labor Day before and it is wonderful touring.....enjoy your trip now...see ya there...

I have read on the website that there is a Tom Joyner Family Reunion scheduled during Labor Day weekend. It looks like most of the activities will take place at MGM and Coronado Springs.

I'm hoping it won't affect the other parks too much, as I'll be at WDW beginning September 2.

14 days to go! :bounce:

Regular large summer weekend crowds. Its the last big weekend of the summer. After that it starts to get much nicer.

I have to disagree. We were there two years ago and it was wonderful! There were crowds, but less than I've seen over Veteran's Day weekend and significantly less than Memorial Day weekend. If you get to the parks very early and hit all you "must-do's" first, you'll be fine.

We were there last year for 1 week beginning with the Saturday before Labor Day. The crowds were not that bad at all. We did EE at the MK that Sunday and completed all of Fantasyland within the first 1 1/2 hour. The crowds did pick up as the day went on, but it was not as bad as the usual summer crowds. I don't think we waited more than 15 mins. for anything.

We went to AK on Labor Day and barely had to wait for anything. They weren't even giving out fastpasses for Kali because the standby line was only about 5-10 mins. The rest of the week was pretty empty. A CM told me that is one of their slowest weeks of the year.

We liked this time of the year so much, we're going back again this Labor Day weekend!
