I am wondering what you think the crowds will be like on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend?? I know it will be crowded, but HOW crowded?? Christmas type crowded? Spring Break crowded? What?

We want to stop by Disney for ONE day post cruise. This happens to be 4th of July weekend. I am not sure if it would be worth it. We just want a Disney "fix" since we are doing a cruise this year instead of Disney World. We have been to WDW a few times, so we don't need to do EVERYTHING.

Here is a list of our "MUST DOs":
Go to MK in morning at opening (not EE day)
See special castle decorations
Check out refurb on Small World
See new Stitch attraction for 1st time
Maybe Carousel of Progress (its DDs favorite- would depend on time available)

Leave MK for EPCOT around lunch so we can have lunch in World Showcase
See new Soaring attraction
See Off Kilter
Walk around World Showcase and sample food from counter service places
See Illuminations
Maybe test track if time (we haven't been able to do this on our 2 last trips)

Does this sound doable on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend (4th of July is on Monday)?

We could go pre-cruise, but logistically it is much more difficult with driving times, work schedule, etc.

I think that holiday combined with the heat, would be crazy, but if you just had a few things you would like to do...go for it!

This will be our fourth 4th of July at Disney in a row! As long as you go w/ the mindset of crowds (not expecting anything less), you'll be fine. Enjoy your cruise and your wonderful day in Disney! :)

It will be VERY crowded. Having said that, we've been on July 4th probably 10 times. The last two years you could hardly move and on the actual 4th of July the park closed in the early afternoon to additional visitors. If you left the park, you could not get back in. This was the actual 4th of July though, the rest of the weekend the parks didn't close but they were still crowded. Just take your patience and manners with you and you'll do OK and keep in mind that some people will check those two items at the door when they walk in. :sad2:
