Crowds on EMH days

Several visits in Feb and Oct. First in July. Live in South Louisiana and know all about heat and humidity so was trying to avoid some. Was thinking of going to park in the morning, back to hotel mid-day for swim or nap, and back to park in evening around 4 or 5pm when a little cooler. Have 2 teenage boys so staying out late is not a problem. DH will be there for conference so going in evening works for him. Are the crowds worst on EMH days?
