We are heading to the World in just 9 days (!) and are planning to spend the afternoon of our first full day at Blizzard Beach. Has anyone been to either BB or TL over the past week or so? If so, how are the crowds at each, especially since the Crush 'n Gusher opened at TL? We went to TL last year and were hoping to experience BB. We won't be arriving at BB until about noon, and I'm hoping the park will still be open to new guests at that time. Thanks! :fish:

Funny you mention this. DH was at TL Thursday and BB Friday. First time at both water parks for him.
He said the crowds were low because it was considered cold here. (In the 70's ;) )
He really enjoyed both, but seemed to like TL better. Each park was just different than the other.
He really liked the "Crush "N" Gusher".

We love the waterparks! I wish there was a good crowd strategy for them. I guess the tried and true one is...go while its raining or cold. ;)

We are going to TL on THursday, May 5 to avoid the "crowds" and then to AK for EMH and MK for SPectromagic, unless they increase its parade days. We had a difficult time deciding between BB and TL. THe new slide and swimming with sharks tempted my older two dc.

We were just at both last week. We felt that BB was less crowded than TL, but we did get to BB a bit earlier than we made it to TL. When we entered TL about 11:30, we couldn't find any lounge chairs at all and had to scrounge up some regular chairs and create our own sitting area. We still had a great time. However, the wait time to swim/snorkel with the tropical fish and sharks was over 2 hours, so we didn't do that. Plus, it is only about a 30 yard swim that the lifegaurds somewhat move you along for. The reason the line is so long is they only allow a couple of people in the reef pool at a time. BTW, the biggest shark we saw fromt he submarine was maybe 3 feet long. I am not slamming the experience, but if you are a real snorkeler, you can easily pass this up.

Have a great time.

Oh, I forgot to say my kids are 2 and 5 and absolutely went nuts for the BB kiddie area and family raft ride. Plus, the 5 year old was able to go into the preteen area for som more fun. I thought this park was extreemely well laid out and the chairlift to the top was a life saver late in the afternoon!

Have fun!

We were wondering the same thing. I am affraid that TL is going to feel very crowded - with the crowd levels they are expecting in May and with the new slide.
