Crowds Nov 12-20?

Hi there,

I will be visiting Disney with my fiancee from November 13-18. And, according to my book... "Birnbaum's Walt Disney World" guide... November is nice. I'm from Canada, so I found the weather last December hot in Florida, November should be a little warmer than that... it says. Low = 58, High = 75

Since we will be there mostly the week after the Food Fest. celebrations and before Thanksgiving... it is supposed to be not very busy at all! Again, last December... the first week... was great! We had NO waiting at all during our own trip.

My only advice is to make priority seating arrangements for dinner. At Epcot last year, we weren't able to get ANY reservations at all. And, at MGM, we had made ressies but still had a bit of a wait!!!

The weekdays should be great - we were there the same time last year. The best advice would be to do things at the resort on the weekends or just be prepared for crowds - especially at MGM and EPCOT. Keep in mind that the 12th and 13th is Super Soap Weekend at MGM. Wise to stay away unless that is something you like - very crowded!!! Also that is the last weekend for Food & Wine at EPCOT, so that will be crowded. Also, that is the end of Jersey Week - most of those folks should be heading home by Sunday, Nov. 13.

We went to MGM on Monday last year (Nov. 14 this year) and walked on to everything. Didn't have fastpass machines in use at all. By Thursday, things were starting to pick up. We were in the MK on Thursday and found it pretty busy in places, not bad but far busier than other parks had been earlier in the week. Go to MK earlier in the week maybe. Friday was already much busier as folks arrived for Thanksgiving week.

We stayed at POFQ which was pretty much like a ghost town most of the week - except for the ever present children in the hot tub with no adult supervision......

Have fun!!

Where are you staying? We will be there at the same time. We are staying at CSR the 12-18 and then at a friends house for the 19-20.

I'll have my lime green Mickey ears!

We are going to be staying at Old Key West. See you there :earsgirl: I'm going to have to go get some Lime Green Mickey Ears...

I`m jealous, we don`t arrive til the 18th (my dd`s BD) b/c we wanted to stay thru thanksgiving.....................and I realized after we booked that I was missing super soap weekend <sigh> I would have loved to meet Tyler
Christopher (aka Nicolas Cassidine) and Maurice Bernard (aka Sonny Corinthos) but I keep telling myself we r going to Disney for the kids and it would only take our disney time away! And besides they r just people like u and I! Although it would of been fun to have pics taken with them anyway!

We will be there also and will be at MGM on Sunday the 13th. It just has to be that way as we only have 3 days on this quick trip. I hope it isn't too crowded! At least it won't be as hot as August!

scorpad99................. We will be there the 10th-20th. And my daughter and I are huge GH fans and last year was our 1st Super soap!
If it makes you feel a little better Maurice Benard (Sonny) won't be there again this year!! We did see Tyler last year and he is returning again this year. But the big news is that Steve Burton (Jason!!!) will be there this year! My DD is planning on getting me up at 5:00am to be there bright and early for him!! She is also excited that the new cop "Jessie" will be there. Last year my favorites were Lucky and Dillon. Dillion was SO funny! And Lucky was amazing looking!! He is cute on the show but he was so gorgeous in person!! And was the nicest guy!!

Can you tell I am getting excited!!!

I'm actually not into any soaps at all... I never watch them. We're mostly looking forward to the FOOD! :cool1:

Hope everyone going this week has a great time. :Pinkbounc

Hello - this is my first post here. Just wanted to say that we are going Nov. 12th - 20th. We're staying at CBR. I looked on the Weather Channel website and they have the lows/highs listed for each month. It did look like it was going to be a nice week to go...not too hot!

lIsa Rae::: i will be there for super soap weekend too! can't wait!! i have seen Steve Burton at a meet and greet and he is fun a gorgeous and yes he even kissed me on the cheek cuz i won a raffle! that said.. last weekend i was at a Greg Vaughan event and man o man... he is beautiful which is why i decided i wanted to go to SS weekend.

We're going for the first time as a family and staying at CBR Nov 13-18th. I hope the weather is nice! I hear crowds are low. We've made one character dinner reservation so far. Hope to decide on the rest and book those too!

Hi there! I'm so excited to hear that you are going for your first time. Last year was our first trip, and we stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort as well! It has been our most memorable trip ever... and the CBR is a great place. If you get a chance, ask to be in the "Jamaica" building, it is very close to the main pool and food court. One of my biggest regret of the whole trip, however, was only making one dinner reservation! So, do a little research if you plan to eat at sit down places! Allearsnet.com is a great place to start.

But, if you don't get around to it, don't worry, there are lots of neat counter service places too. And, Caribbean Beach has some good chicken and key lime pie! :goodvibes

Hey!! We'll be down at the same time as you are. We are staying at POR. I am a little nervous about POR because of mixed reviews but it was the only onsite place that we could stay in one room together at. (There are 6 of us--one is an infant). We are staying Nov. 10-17. We have made reservations at CRT dinner & breakfast, Crystal Palace, Boma, Le Cellier, Le Chefs de France, Liberty Tree Tavern, and 1900 Park Fare Dinner & Breakfast (may cancel breakfast). We are SOOO excited!!!!! My kids are counting down the days!!!! OH, and I'll admit, I am TOO!

Does everyone here know about the 'Alien Green' Mickey Paint Chips from Home Depot? Someone on the board explained to me that a lot of people on this board get them and decorate them, tie them on to something or make pins out of them to identify themself as DISboard members! So, I went and got some and made one for myself so keep your eye out and make one too! :cheer2:

If anyone needs one, send me your address via PM and I'll send one to you! :earsgirl:
