Have some friends that are first timers heading to DL next Sunday. Any expectations on crowds. Only ask because I am hearing its crazy this week. Might have to give them a fast pass lesson.

Definitely Fastpass Lessons. Touringplans.com is predicting crowd levels of 8-10's for that week. It "may" not be as bad as this week though. This week was the top Spring Break week in a Disboards poll a while ago I think.
Sorry to tell you (your friends) this but my DD11's school's Spring Break starts tomorrow for 2 weeks. Our district switched this year to traditional schedule from year round so this is our first Spring break ever. And yes, we will be going to DLR a few times in the next few weeks as I imagine many others in our area will as well. We are just outside of Orange County, about 30 min. east of DLR.
My dilemma when we go is should I battle the 91 freeway through Corona with all the commuters early in the a.m. so we can get there early and grab as many FP as we can or wait until the traffic dies down and risk it? I like to go early in the a.m., just have to get DD to wake up early. Good news for me is that DLR doesn't open until 9 a.m. YEAH!
But that points out something important-those of us with AP, normally, do not go all day. If we go in the a.m. then we leave earlier than the tourists. If we plan on doing the evening entertainment, we don't go until later in the day.
Touring Plans is showing 8's and 9's but Ridemax is giving REALLY reasonable wait times for all rides in both parks during this week. I've personally found Ridemax to be more reliable than Touring Plans. Usually when RM waits are showing TSMM around 35 minutes I find the parks to be LOVELY! I hope it's right again
