crowds May 29 to June 12 and gay day

Hi

I'm from the UK, and I've just discovered you have a bank holiday (that's what we call them,) over the weekend that we arrive, called Memorial Day.

Has everyone gone home by the time we arrive?

Also Gay day, I have been told to avoid MK on Sunday 5th June and Islands of Adven. Sat 4th June, is this correct.

It looks like Gay day lasts a whole week. Is everywhere busier, or do the Gay week particpants stick to where the main events are scheduled that day.

It will probably be busy when you first arrive. We're going May 31- June 8, exactly when we went last year. Memorial Day is on Monday, May 30th, and the parks are usually busy the next day, too. After that it shouldn't be too bad.

With the exception of the MK on Saturday, Gay Days don't really seem to affect the crowds too much (never been to IoA, so I don't know what the effect is there.) There are actually two different organizations that plan Gay Days, and you can see their schedules at www.gayday.com and www.gaydays.com. The MK on Saturday is never really a good idea anyway, regardless of time of year. If you avoid the MK on Saturday, you should be OK.

i never knew there was a bank holiday at that time although i hardly knew any of the songs on now 60 when i bought it
must have been on here too long

I have been told that if you go to their website (I dont know the link but I am sure it isnt hard to find.) it will tell you what days are the "scheduled days" for the gay day tours. also this link
