What can I expect?? Last year I went June 5-13 and mk was very long waits. I do know that is is gay week, but my ap's expire on June 6th and wanted to get a third trip off them. Next year I am trading out for Hawaii!!

Last two trips had all my ps's down pat and I will definitely do this again. The family and I did not use to do this but now we are addicted!!! Don't have to bt told there is 1 1/2 hour wait.

That is when I am thinking about going as well. Actually either that or Sept or Oct 1-9 to Oahu.

I will be at VWL for 4 nights and BCV for 5 nights. If any AP rates come out thought about checking in 2 nights early. We drive from atlanta, so we don't have to worry about airfare!!

I am currently sketching out a ps schedule. I start on Feb 28th!!!

Oops!! not next year for Hawaii until tomorrow!!!!

Where are you staying??

Me, too!! May 28th thru June 4th. I read on the gaydays website that the crowds will be mostly weighted to the weekend of the 4th. Like Friday is scheduled for MGM and Sat. at MK. However, the previous weekend is Memorial Day, so it may not be much different. We'll probably do MK and Studios Tues-Thurs.

This is a first for us, but we visited last year the week before Christmas and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Hopefully I will get to do some other things on this trip. Rent the mouse boats, and enjoy SAB is in the initernary. I know that I would like to have lunch in the castle.

Chef mickey's. whispering canyon cafe, and beaches and cream are on the list so far.

I'll have to go to the gaydays web site to see their schedule, then I can pinpoint mine more.

can't wait!!!! :moped:

We're planning to be there from May 29-June 2 ish. We went last year the week before Memorial Day. Crowds weren't awful, but MK always seems busy these days!

I checked and it looks like June 1-6 or 7th is Gay Days at WDW, but does it really matter when they will be there. I think that we all can go at the same time and that the parks are large enough to accomidate everyone.

debbiedoo,

I am not sure yet. I am waiting for the new MYW packages to come out to see if they are a good deal or not. If not than I will hold of until Sept 1-9 or Oct 1-9 and will have a nice long vacation in Oahu.

We are planning May 26 - June 3. I assume there will be crowds during the Memorial Day weekend, but maybe we'll plan part of the weekend as our resort days and stay home and play. We've been the first week in June
3 times now and even though it's during gaydays, but we planned around those days in each of the parks and used fastpasses, it wasn't too bad at all. My rule is always have at least 1 fastpass at all times!!! :D

We went May 31 to June 5, 04. We went to MK on Sat., which was the designated Gay park, however it was not busy in the morning, until about noon. We rested during the afternoon, missing the parade, then went back in the p.m., which was busier, but reasonable. The Sunday after, we were at AK, and it was not crowded at all. Enjoy your trip!

Last year, Gayday at epcot was june 6 and we were going to mk, but my daughter insisted we fo to epcot. My 6 year old loves epcot. I was iffy about this, but went with the flow anyway. . . moving to atlanta, gets you prepared for atmospheres like this!! I have a couple of co-workers that are this way and they are great people, so anyway----everything was just fine, and we saw nothing out of the ordinary here--wanted to say thanks, because I am not ready as a parent to explain that one to a six year old!! Met a few gay couples while in line and they enjoyed talking with my daughter, so if anyone is worried about those issues, that is my say. . .

MagicKingdom05,

Gay Days at WDW is no sweat. I have been in line with DD and DW many times with those of alternative lifestyles on Gay Days and they are very understanding of young ones. True, I have been to other Amusment parks were the Gays were very obnoxious, but not at WDW. If it does concern you, simply ask a cast member at your resort which WDW park will be the most "crowded." They cast member will point you to the other parks, which you will find very managable crowds. Have fun

debbiedoo,

I' m not A DVC member. I am just trying to decide between to vacations WDW and Oahu. Obviously because of price I can't do both as much as I would like to. If I do WDW in May, there is a chance that I could have enough savings left over to do a short holiday trip right after Thanksgiving for 5 days. So its basically two trips to WDW versus a 10 day trip to Oahu.

If you love WDW and love to travel maybe you should look into it. Without my DVC I would not to be able to stay at the villas and when we trade out international to a one or two bedroom. The cost of going to hawaii and the alaskan cruise that is on the itiernary bascially paid for my points. If you have any questions just ask!! I do not regret dvc at all, and even the DH apologized after he saw how great our home resort was!! Had a mini kitchenette and trust me, you do not know how to act. After staying at values and moderates. . . .and this has made our money free to enjoy resort dining and water stuff!!! The cost of a room for 10 days is pretty much your down payment.
