Just wondering how the crowds have been lately. Family flying out tomorrow to spend 5 days at Disney. They're first timers and they're wondering if they should arrive early to beat the crowds on Sunday? Anyone know?
Also wanting to check if there are any big events going on this week that would make crowds heavier than usual.

Thanks for any and all info!

I am curious about the same thing. I am taking my four year old on a mommy and daughter trip Sunday-Tuesday and am hoping for great weather and low crowds. We will be happy with just being there but a girl can hope.;)

We just got back from there the other day. We went from Sun-Wed and the crowds were awesome! We pretty much walked onto all the rides and got to redo rides several times. Sunday, we did 9 different things in 3 hours. (Counting the parade and Merlin show) We were so excited since we were only able to do DL for a couple of hours on Sunday. The rest of the time was beautiful. Have a blast!!

Just hopping on this thread so I can get crowd updates over the next week...

Sure hope we have light crowds for our stay May 8-12~~!!!!:yay:

Would love anyone's input on crowd possibilities...

(How am I going to make it through this week???)

This is exactly how I feel. We are going the same time. 10 more days. I can't stand it :goodvibes

Just came back last Thursday (April 26)...Saturday was crazy...Sunday, the park opened early at 6:30 am, IT WAS PERFECT until about 11:00 am. Absolutely no crowds...Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays were great from opening until about noon. We would switch over to CA in the pm's where it was a bit less crowded and then back in the evenings. Locals seem to come in after work, around 5-6 and stay until close so evenings were more crowded.

Try to get as much done between opening and 11:00, you should be able to do all major attractions during that time. We did multiples of Buzz, POTC, HM, SM. Most people gather for evening parade so if you plan right, you should be able to ride a bit then as well.

Have fun!

DD and I are going for the morning tomorrow. I'll let you know about crowds. We're hoping it's light because she wants Dumbo, Dumbo, Dumbo!

We were there the 27th of April to yesterday (April 29th).

Friday was awesome. The evening got a *teeny* bit busy, but nothing crazy. Space Mountain was an hour wait most of the day. We were there first thing and it was 20 minutes. It was my husbands first time to DL, though he's done WDW a bunch...lucky guy!

Saturday was crazy at Disneyland, so spent most of our day at DCA. We were celebrating our one year anniversary so we didn't do early entry and we didn't really regret it. We didn't wait for anything except Block Party very long. Soarin' was an hour, Grizzly River was 40 minutes (fast passed one, went on the other, fast passed the other, went on one....it was awesome!). We got GREAT seats for the electrical parade right across from Jumpin' Jellyfish about 40 minutes prior and we were shocked that there were still seats available 10 minutes 'til. Apparently, this isn't a biggie for folks.....crazy!!

We expected the Food and Wine thingie to really crowd the place, but it truly wasn't bad.

Sunday - Not nearly as crazy as Saturday, suprisingly. We had breakfast at DL, walked over to DCA about 20 minutes 'til opening and were SHOCKED to find people already being pulled into Soarin'. The ride didn't seem to be operating, but we were inside the building at opening time!!! NEVER expected that!! We walked into Tower of Terror (20 minute wait) and then did Grizzly River (5 minute wait...but it was cloudy). Then Bugs Life (maybe 100 people in there?) and then off to Disneyland.

Peter Pan 40 minutes, Matterhorn 40 minutes. Indie closed that evening. Apparently they were evacuating the ride....I don't think it re-opened Sunday at all. We walked onto (0 waiting!!!) the Pooh ride around 9:45 (fireworks, It's a small world and then Pooh!), and rode twice in a row, since there was no one there!

Anyway....hope that gives you some ideas of the crowds!

=)

Crowds? What crowds? We were there this morning (Tuesday) for a few hours. It was great. Since it was just DD(4) and me, we were looking for kiddie rides. Peter pan was our longest wait - 20 minutes maybe. Dumbo 10 or less, Small World - walk on. At DCA: Monsters Inc 5-10 min, rides in Bug land - all 5-10 min. We didn't do any big rides so I can't help you there, but Grizzly run and Soarin both looked like 10 min or less.

Crowds now are pretty low. :goodvibes My DD7 is out of school this month and we'll be going a few times this month. I think we're going on Thursday, this week.

As another poster said, Sunday a.m. are pretty good. The locals don't usually start getting there until about 11 a.m. then the crowd levels start to grow. Once it gets busy, switch over to DCA. That's what we do!

Have fun! :wizard:

Just walked in the door from a six hour drive home and needed to unwind so I figured why not answer this one since I was so curious about it before leaving.:)

Crowds were awesome. They just weren't there. We literally got on and off tower of terror today with NO lines at all. California Screamin is closed until 1 Monday-Thursdays for a while. In fact this morning when we woke up to check out of Paradise Pier they had left a note under our door offering rooms for 99 a night if we wanted to extend our stay. I SO wanted to but my friend I was traveling with had to be home.

We had a blast and just loved how great the weather was and how nice the low crowds were. I think our longest lines were for Matterhorn at about 15 minutes and Big Thunder Mountain for about 15. Have a great time and I will check back to this thread to see if anyone else has any questions.

Going with a 20 month old and a 4 1/2 old I always try to plan on Mon-Wed. We are going May 13-17 Sunday - Thursday I anticipate it to be great!

Hi,
What days (dates) were you there? You said there were no crowds but what day was that? I'm keeping track for my own records.

thanks
