Crowds Last Week of August?

What kind of crowds should I be expecting at the end of August early September? My DS is turning 9 on Aug.31 and the kids don't start school until Sept.8. My Dh says we need to take a year off but maybe I can convince him!

Summer hours still exist in late August (usually 9AM to 10PM on the weekdays). By late August, most of the summer crowds will have already visited. I have visited during late August and it is definitely OK crowd wise.
