Just curious....anyone been the very last week in August and left before the labor day weekend? How are the crowds, I hear they are pretty low. As my other post says we are deciding to go either last week Aug or 1st week Nov. I went Nov 11th last year for 1 week and was surprised at how large the crowds were. I am really trying to go at the lesser crowded time.

Any help appreciated!!!

We've gone 2 different times at that time of year and have been very pleasantly surprised at the small crowds. Never really encountered a wait for a ride over 15 minutes, except at Peter Pan and we just used fastpass.

This last year, though, was the year Hurricane Frances came through so the crowds might have been lower because she was headed in that direction. We already there and couldn't get our flight changed to get out before she hit so we got to ride it out there.

We were there this past year the last week of August. We were supposed to leave on the Friday of Labor Day weekend -- but got stuck there because hurricane Frances was on the way, and they shut MCO two days before the hurricane hit. The crowds are not bad then, and the days right around the hurricane were really empty -- like I have never seen.

We went the week of November 11 in 2000 for my 40th birthday, we arrived on the 11th. The crowds were not bad then, but we heard from people the days before we got there were packed because of "Jersey Week". You need to find out when that is and avoid it if you can.

My experience was that the last week of Aug (2001) seemed slightly less crowded than Jersey Week (2000).

If you could go in early Nov. & be gone before or arrive after Jersey week, tho - that would be ideal.
