Hi all! Just wondering what you all had to say about the crowds and weather in WDW in the end of October? I am planning on going around the 20th when I have a short break from classes.
Thanks!

yes oct is a good time to go, went last year at the end of oct weather was around low to mid 80's and the wait time are not to bad.

It's a great time of the year to go, although it seems to get a little bit busier each year! Like you, we're from MN, so take advantage of the long MEA weekend. Weather for us in the past has always been great as well. Our break (MN) tends to fall a couple of weeks before the East Coast break, and about 1 week ahead of England's.

You deifnitely should check out the MNSSHP and the F&W festival at Epcot! :cool1: :cool1:

We are going Oct 29-Nov5. It's a great time of year to go. The Food and Wine festival at Epcot is wonderful. We were there in 2001 and it was so quiet. I expect it to be more crowded this time, but not as bad as spring break.
Enjoy!

We went over MEA last year, too. We had such a great time, that we are doing it again this year. It was a perfect time, weather was great and I did not think the crowds were bad at all. MNSSHP was the best! Check that airfare soon, though, I think half of MN travels that weekend!

Is the MNSSHP going already at that point? I guess I'll be in good company in WDW, it seems as if all of MN goes on MN MEA weekend :-)

We have gone that same week the past couple of years, and I can tell you that it is definitely getting busier. In 2003 there were hardly any lines at all for anything, but in 2004 the popular rides had wait times of around 45 minutes. We also do a week or so in the summer, which is much busier, so compaired to that time period the wait times are much better. Have a great time!

We're going the 19th-24th this year. Gotta love MEA!! :cool1: We've never been in Oct. before, so we're pretty excited. The F&W festival is pretty fun. We didn't do any special events last time, but all the sampling kiosks are great! We are doing MNSSHP this year, going on Fri. the 21st, anyone else?

I just dont if I'll be able to get used to the parks closing so early!! I really dont think it will be 'less' crowded! (does that sound pessimistic?!) Well, I am going Columbus day weekend (*sigh) I am encouraged however, by all the posts of those that made it through the May Crowds - of course parks were open longer than 7 or 8 pm!!

I just hope I can convince DD we have to be at park OPENINGS!! lol! She loves to swim late, so she is too tired to get up for openings!! I'm hoping to work on that!! :flower: :flower: I know its her vacation, so its ok by me!! :teeth:
