Crowds in October

We will be going to Disney either the last week of August/first week of September or the last week of October. I have never been in October before and am wondering what the crowd levels are like. Last year around Labor Day the crowds were very low and we really enjoyed that! We have always traveled to Disney during what are considered low crowd level times and are a little concerned about traveling during a time that is not generally considered low crowd.

I went last October 25-31. Honestly it was on the crowded side especially on MNSSHP nights at MK (during the day before the party). I read all the crowd calendars beforehand and expected low to mid crowds but when we got there it was mid to mid-high crowds. I hope that helps a little.

I found mid October to have extremely high crowds in MK, insane crowds in Epcot on Friday and Saturday, and manageable almost low crowds in DHS and DAK. I think peopl food into MK fir the evening shows and use FP.

October crowds are moderate to busy depending on which park, time of day, and day of week. For example a Saturday night at Epcot during F&W is crazy crowded, but otherwise it's not terrible. Here's our playlist of our October 2015 trip so far (more to come) and you can see the crowds aren't too horrible, but not light either. These were filmed the 3rd week of October 2015. The first video is just F&W reviews so to get a better idea of crowds start with the Day 1 Part 1 video and go from there.

Been there last week of October several times in recent years. No issues with crowds, but recommend staying away from Epcot F&W on Saturday nights. Heat is usually not oppressive at that time.

When we went in 2014 we avoided epcot on the weekends and found the parks to be manageable with the exception of MK. Because of MNSSHP on certain nights caused the park to close at 7, Most people went to MK on the nights that the party wasn't happening it was super crowded because of Wishes.

We used to go the first week in March so that's our basis for comparison. Oct we find to be less crowded than early March provided you avoid Columbus Day weekend and a few days after and as others have mentioned, WS on Fri night and all day Sat.

We have been in March, May, June and October. This past year, October was the most crowded I have ever seen at WDW. That will probably be the last time we do October. Although the weather was perfect!
