crowds in March

My brother and his family are heading to Orlando for a week and will be at WDW for 6 of the 7 days. They want to visit Universal for 1 day. I helped plan his Disney days but haven't been to Universal. I have heard horror stories about the line ups and was wondering if spending a day there was worth it for a family with a 6 and 8 year old. Which part of Universal would a family with young kids enjoy more? Any help or advice would be great. Me - I love having a whole week at Walt Disney World, but I'm sure Universal is great too.

As long as you don't go during any Spring Breaks, you should be fine crowd-wise. So, aim for as early in the month as possible.
