I know Universal has the Halloween Horror Nights. Is that a separate ticket event like MNSSHP? How does it affect the crowds during the day? (I am NOT interested in the extra scary Halloween Party. :scared1:)

I'm trying to figure out if we're going to need the Express Pass or not. We can't afford to stay in Universal's hotels, so we'll have to buy it separately, and I'm trying to add up costs.

You won't need to stay onsite or purchase Express Plus passes for late October...crowds are generally light except for WWoHP. The crowds for HHN are only at the Studios and usually arrive later in the day...around 3pm or so. You can do the Studios in the morning and then head over to IOA for the remainder of the day. HHN is a hard ticket event and a park sweep is done to make sure the day guests are out of the park.

Thanks. I was hoping that would be the case. I know we're usually okay in October, but then I remembered the HHN, and wasn't sure how that would affect things. I'm expecting crazy crowds with the WWoHP anyway. It's understandable.

We too are used to lovely low october crowds and am fearing the worse when visiting WWoHP this year, I'm struggling to even put a day on when to visit in the week at the moment, some opinions suggest a Sunday, others mid week :confused3

Well...during the off season it's better to go during the week since the crowds are at their lowest.
