Hello everybody,

For those of you who have been in late january can you tell me what you thought of the crowds? We are planning a trip for the sat after MLK day until the last day of Jan.

Thanks,
Debbie

As long as you're not going on a holiday weekend, you should be fine. In fact, most people LOVE January in the parks.

We went last January 28th- February4th and it was so quiet in the parks. The only line we waited in was for the new Toy Story ride. The weather was definately chilly but we're looking to go again in January, especially if they do the buy 4 night get 3 free special again.

I don't want to give away any major secrets but that is a GREAT time to go. The weather can be a crapshoot though; we've been this time of year when we can wear shorts; last year we were down for the 1st week in February and they were experiencing record lows- real COLD!

This will be our third trip going in January. Crowds are very low. Really dont have to wait on much. The only thing you had to plan for was getting on TSMania. Weather is hit and miss. We were at the pool one afternoon..then a cold front came in and we were in sweatshirts and jeans the rest of the week. We love it though, especially with our small kids, they can make it soo much longer without the heat draining their energy!!

We normally always go that time of year and it is GREAT!! The crowds are low. As far as the weather every time we have been the weather has been perfect...high 60's to mid 70's. It could be cold you just never know with that time of year but we have been lucky so far. I say late Jan is the perfect time to go.

Thanks everybody. I had heard this last year when we booked our nov 30-Dec 7th trip but I just had to go see all the christmas stuff. I was told that time would be less crowded also but I would like to see Disney even LESS crowded than that if possible. I know the parks can't stay open for just us, but the less crowds the better. We still followed good advice and never waited in lines last year but is it wrong to just want to be around less people?

we live in Houston so the weather here is a lot like Florida. I like the mix of mild/cold. Granted a freeze is no fun but I will still manage.

Debbie
