Crowds in late April

Many years ago, after a really tough trip in the middle of the summer (from a crowd standpoint), our family decided that all future trips to WDW would occur in the slower late Fall / Winter time periods. However, due to work travel to Orlando in late April of this year, we are going to try a trip at a different time than we have tried before (Thursday, 4/20 through Sunday, 4/23). Can anyone tell me what the crowds will be like on this post-Easter weekend? I'm hopeful that most spring breaks will be done by then, but one way or the other, we want to be prepared for what we're getting into with the crowds. (Note: for those who love going to WDW during the summer, you are probably not the unbiased voices that I'm looking to hear from on this one). Tks in advance for feedback.

A lot of New England states will be having their spring breaks at that time. Our schools are out from the 14th until the 24th. There will be lots of people there from some of the New England states. Then New Hampshire will start their spring break on the 21st, so they will overlap. It will be crowded.

While it's not the exact same week, we went last year April 25-May 1. Then we went back October 11-16. I thought that October was much more crowded than April. We were there during several NE schools' Spring Break and Grad Nites. Crowds were still less in April than October. Hope this helps.

THe crowds are not bad at all! This is our favorite time to go, along with all of May and October. We will be there April 24-30. May starts to get pretty hot, though, but then again, April and October can be too. You never know.
Don't go within two weeks of Easter or you will hit large crowds.

I think it will be busier than usual since Easter is later this year (April 16th). A lot of schools have the week after Easter off, plus other school systems will get the last week of April for a later Spring Break.

We went last year April 18-29 (Easter I believe was in March last year). We thought it was very crowded, not summer crowded but definitely crowded. I remember many of the rides having 45 minute waits and every time we tried to do Peter Pan by mid afternoon all of the FP's were gone. After talking to several families it appeared that many of their children were on their spring break those two weeks. I would not go back again during that time (especially after being there once the first week of November and more recently early February with NO crowds!).

Providing you miss Easter April is a good time to go, crowds not too bad , not light but certainly not very crowded either - weather is perfect too.

Last year we went exactly 2 weeks after Easter and it was GREAT! We toured early and went back to the CR for an afternoon break. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for a ride. WE are heading back this year on Apr 28th- two weeks after Easter again. We are hoping for the same great time we had last year. It was the best vacation!!!

Same here.......we're going 4/27 to 5/6, and I think we'll miss the crowds, but get the nice weather I've been craving up here in PA!!

same here! We're going 4/28 to 5/5. We went in February in 2005 and while not crowded (Superbowl weekend) it was COLD. We're hoping for not too crowded and some sunshine and warmth!

Things are expected to be very busy until around the 29th looking at park hours and various websites which predict the crowds.
