Crowds for the first week of June?

My mom just surprised us with a week in Orlando the first week of June. The boys have been to WDW, so we figure we'll do US/IOA and Legoland.

I know that the schools in the NE won't be out yet, but most of the schools in the south will be. What should we expect in the way of crowds?

We arrive May 30 and have been checking the sites for crowd levels and they all say moderate crowds for the first two weeks of June getting busier for the last two weeks. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they are right.

Definitely hoping for moderate crowds. In 2009, WDW was not only way crowded in mid-June, it was record-breaking hot, so the parks were miserable. Hoping to avoid that this time around. :)

I am hoping to see more input and advice on your post. We are faced with trying to decided to go last week of May or the first week of June. We have gone before the during the last week of May doing smaller attractions sunday and monday, and then moving on to US/IOA tues-fri. and it was fine. But trying to work around Memorial Day weekend has us thinking to move our next trip to first week of june.

We went the first week of June last year and I thought the crowds were moderate to light. Definitely not as crowded as our October trip that year. We were lucky and it wasn't very hot, but perfect for afternoon pool breaks. Temperatures were a bit below normal that week from what I remember. The resorts offer APH rates that first week of June and not later so I don't think the summer crowds really hit until later in June. I'd go again at that time in a heartbeat. Have fun! :goodvibes

We were there Thursday, June 9, 2011 and I felt it was pretty crowded. Not "wait two hours to even get into WWoHP" crowded, but there were definitely long ride lines. (Fastpass spoils you!)

We were trying to do both parks in one day though, so since you will be there multiple days, you will be able to spread things out and use those less crowded morning and evening times on multiple days.

We were at Universal lost May 27-6/3. The crowds did not seem to pick up until the last day we were leaving. Most things were walk on especially with the FOL access form staying on site. No way as crowded as Disney.
