We are debating whether it's worth doing the fireworks dessert party during our upcoming trip. This will be the first time we see the fireworks from inside the park (saw them from Cali Grill last year). Touring Plans predicts the crowd level will be a 4 that day (May 10th).

Is it worth spending the $220 or would we be able to find a decent spot if we arrive 30-45 min earlier?

My kids don't eat much (not even dessert) and I have to eat gluten-free (have read conflicting reports on the quality of GF offerings). BUT, my kids are not good about waiting or sitting still and my daughter gets a little overwhelmed with crowds.

What would you do?

I'd not book the party.
Just arrive and pick a viewing location at least 45 min. before the show time.

We are going the second week. I booked the dessert party because of similar reasons you expressed - my daughter gets overwhelmed if she's crowded in with no room to escape. It's pricey but we booked a night with evening EMH so we'll be sticking around and while I won't eat many desserts, and my daughter likely won't either, my husband will surely make up the difference for us. :rotfl2:
