Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like the end of September?

Thanks

hopefully low because i'll be there from 9/29 - 10/7!!

I've heard that things calm down a bit by the end of september, so it should be good!

They are not too bad. The restaurants are packed because of free dining that time of year.

We were at rope drop for EPCOT last Sept and I wish I had taken a picture. It was a.m. emh and there were maybe 100-150 people waiting at the rope on the side closest to Soarin'.

In all the parks, the morning rides lines were walk on or a 5-10 minute wait.

We went the last week in September and it was great!!! I can hardly get my husband to consider going any other time. Most rides are 5-10 min wait, although Peter Pan was over an hour - for some inexplicable reason.....:confused3

Have ADRs for dining - but I was able to get a Citricos reservation for 6 at 6ish two days before we went and booked a last minute fireworks cruise - so it's still possible to have flexibility.

The weather was FABULOUS!! 80s, no humidity, in the low 60s at night. Perfect! But that can't be garanteed - we just hit a great week last year!

We've been to WDW at many various times of the year, but, for the last three years have been going at the end of September. No crowd issues at all. Great weather...hot enough to swim but not unbearable (we live in a humid climate so humidity is not an issue for us). We're booked to go this year at the end of September as well. I think we'll continue to do this until our son starts school. If taking him out of school becomes an issue (he's only three right now, starting preschool in the fall, so I don't anticipate any school issues for the next several years), we'll have to come up with a different WDW plan. I so don't have any desire to fight the summer crowds. Been there, done that one too many times. One thing, though. Make ADR's. The restaurants book up fast because of free dining. I don't know that you'd be able to just walk in. So, if there's someplace you really want to go, make an ADR. Have fun!

Thanks everyone!!!!!! I didn't know the restaurants were crowed at that time. I will make sure I have reservations. Thanks for the heads up.

I think anytime in September is a great time. Lower crowds. Free food. Great weather (unless of course a hurricane rolls in).

I was there last year at the end of Sep. flew in on Sat. and home on Wed. Weekend days were pretty crowded (more people than I expected), not too bad. The week days 5-10 minute wait for everything. It was awesome!! Soarin' was more crowded and Expedition Everist. But really a nice time to go.

Weather was still hot as we were able to make good use of the pool. Rained a bit each day...bring ponchos...nothing like Dumbo in the rain!!!

i went at around that time for the past two years in a row ( & am heading there sept. 21 - oct 2nd this year!!! :cloud9: ) the crowds are not huge at all .. but do avoid evening EMH at MK if its saturday! that was the most packed day ive seen! besides that, youll probably see a bit of rain but nothing that would ruin your plans. :cheer2: youre going to have a great trip! :woohoo:

Last September I went on a 9 day trip to WDW and it was awesome. No matter what park we went to, the ride wait times didn't exceed 15 min (except Toy Story at DHS in which we just hit that ride at rope drop and we were fine). But like said above, make your dining reservations as soon as you can, cause they will fill... I liked it so much, that I have a 13 day trip planned this year from Sept 15-28... We stayed at ASMovies last year, and decided to upgrade to CBR this year... I went 4 years ago in july, and I will NEVER do that again... September is a much better way to go...
