Has anyone experienced WDW during the Wine & Food Festival during the last week in October? Is it very crowded? Is OKW very busy during this time frame? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

October/November are our favorite times to visit Disney. We have gone many times during the last week of Oct into November. The parks fill up a little at the end of Oct. For the MNSSHP at MK. The food and wine festival is great! We love going around EPCOT and sampling all the food/wines. NOV. has been becoming more popular, but it's still not too bad. We have found that now we have to wait and average 15-30 minutes for most rides, when we used to be able to walk right on.
AK still gets very crowded, we have yet to go there and not have to wait, and because the trails are narrow, it always feels like there are many people.
As far as OKW being busy, I would have to say that even when it is "sold out" it never feels like it's "crowded" because it's so spread out, and each area has it's own pools.
Overall this is a great time to visit. :)

We went in the last week in Oct. and stayed at OKW. We went because we were taking my neice and her children for the Not so Scary Holloween party, it was a gift to them from us. The crowds were light on Sun., and Mon. but then got a little heavier through the week, but not as heavy as in the summer. The first week in Nov. was much better and lines were noticably shorter. The kids really enjoyed the Holloween party and everyone on the bus the next day could not say enough about how they enjoyed it. It is well worth your points to go this time of the year. Weather is great and crowds are mostly light. OKW was not packed because they were doing some repair work this last time and they had several buildings closed for painting and resurfacing of the parking lots. They rotated the buildings and had a large trailer in the parking lot with all of the painting equip. We stayed across from the bus stop at Turtle Pond and they were working on buildings 32 and 33. When we stayed the next week we were in the building around the corner and they were working on the buildings on the end of the loop. We had alot of fun and great food at the Food and Wine Fest.
