Crowds during Thanksgiving week

So the family is going to Universal one day during Thanksgiving week. I am debating whether to join them due to crowds. So my questions are how bad is it during this week and do you think there is a better day to go during Thanksgiving week. We are arriving on 11/20 and leaving 11/26(black Friday).

You should be O.K. We have gone Thanksgiving week for the past two years and it was not bad at all leading up to Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day was not bad but by Friday the crowds had arrived and the weekend was really busy. Not sure how different it will be this year with Harry Potter though.

Thanks to Harry Potter, it will be busier this year than years past. That being said, Thanksgiving week is at most Moderately Busy, Sun-Thu (Turkey Day isn't chaotic). Black Fri/Sat are supercrazybusy.

Wow, that's great to hear, going that week for the first time too, and also wondering if Sat the 20th will be better than Monday and Tuesday, since a lot of people might be arriving that day and not going to the parks?

We were there last year and the place was empty until Thursday. We rode every ride without any waits numerous times. This year I expect with Harry Potter it will be a little busier. Also schools in Georgia are off the entire week of Thanksgiving this year. Hopefully it will not be that bad.

Thanks for the info. I may actually go as it doesn't sound like it will be too bad. Though who knows for sure how Harry Potter will affect it.

We went last Thanksgiving Sat-Thurs(T-day) and each day there were more people than the day before but being used to Disney in the summer, Universal was like a ghost town at the beginning. I have looked at booking rooms to go again this year and there are far fewer choices and the costs are much higher than last year so I believe it will be more crowded than last year.
